In her latest attempt to address questions about the presence of classified information on her private, unsecured email system, Hillary Clinton is attempting to cast doubt on the methods the entire U.S. government uses to handle its secrets.
Whether the material in her emails that has been flagged as classified is in fact classified is open to debate, Clinton told reporters in Las Vegas Tuesday. "That is not in any way agreed upon," she said. "The State Department disagrees. That happens all the time in these efforts to say what can go out and what can't go out. That is a part of the ordinary process."
Moreover, Clinton said, investigations like the one currently taking place with her emails are nothing new. "Everybody is acting like this is the first time it's ever happened," she said. "It happens all the time. And I can only tell you that the State Department has said over and over again, we disagree [that the material is classified]. So, that's what they're sorting out and that's what happens a lot of the times."
"What you're seeing now is a disagreement between agencies saying, you know what? They should have, and the other saying no, they shouldn't," Clinton concluded. "That has nothing to do with me."

Her defense is utterly frivolous. After all, she was SOS, one of the original cabinet positions, dating back to the founding. The essence of the SOS job is highly confidential communication at the very summit of the gov. With POTUS, Dec Sec., and multiple foreign leaders. She did most of this by email with highly classified content that she generated herself, as in discussing vital issues over email with others. Hence, her use of an insecure home brew server was an inherent violation of the law.
I was watching Judge Napolitano this morning. He said she’s pulling semantic tricks like Bill used to by saying there were no emails marked “Classified”. I think Judge N. said that is technically true, as no emails are marked “Classified”. They’re marked “Secret”, “Top Secret”, “Confidential”, but not “Classified”. So it’s her method of not really lying while lying like a rug.
Bill said he did not have sex with “that woman, Ms. Lewinsky. Not a single time.” He was telling the truth. He didn’t do it a “single time”; he did it many times. They are so good at word-smithing.
A 3rd grade level of “the dog ate my homework”.
Like phony $100,000 cattle trading profit, (a bribe of course funneled through a trading account) and many other lies in her career.
She is immensely incompetent and morally deficient.

A document is marked "Confidential" "Secret" "Top Secret" etc.
That is its classification.
So Hillary's statement that she never received or sent document marked "Classified" is just as misleading as Bill's statement about the meaning of "is."

Huma reads an important classified Fax that has been classified by the CIA. She wants to advise Hillary on something related to the information she just read.
What Huma WON'T DO: Quote verbatim from the classified sections of the FAX.
What Huma WILL DO: Reword the classified information in a way that she believes is OK to send in the clear.
I believe this is what the IGs and the Intelligence Agencies are seeing. They are seeing Huma’s failures to successfully rewrite otherwise classified information and then release it onto the public Internet.
And I'm not attempting to defend Huma or Hillary here. I'm just acknowledging that they both know the rules and probably did their best to avoid releasing classified data.
But that is, IMHO, an impossible task and that is why Hillary needs to be charged, convicted and jailed for setting up a system using the public Internet that inevitably would allow the release of U.S. Classified information.
It matters not if they passed on stripped material or not.
Simply discussing in the open information that you only know because of your security access, is a security violation.
This issue of classifications being stripped is a bait and switch distraction.

Your take is very interesting. By Huma paraphrasing the classified information, it technically becomes personal email which Hillary felt she had a right to delete. There’s where she’s wrong though as Judge N pointed out, ALL the emails on the server belong to we the people and she had no right to delete or otherwise destroy ANY of them.
She KNOWS. It’s what you don’t want anyone to see.
Like yoga, wedding arrangements, quid pro quo with foreigners, ... stuff like that.
The stuff that she deleted (it was just personal).
The National Security stuff - who cares; she doesn’t.

hillary had direct legal experience in watergate, so she knows exactly what classified info is and how to handle it properly.
so for her to come out with this means she is on the ropes.

i do agree that any competent person would be embarrassed by having to state this defense.
