The "official" number of 11 - 12 million is laughably long since out of date.

The Mexican government can probably extrapolate from the number of their "Matricular" cards they issue within the USA, though the illegal's now can often get U.S. state DLs.

Also remittance levels give a clue.

Possibly for the same reason I never get counted in a sample of folks polled in a political poll. I never answer the phone for any pollsters who show up in caller-ID and when they get through using subterfuge I politely end the conversation without answering their questions.

There may be 30 million Mexican illegal aliens in the U.S. and another 10-15 million from various other countries from all over the world. Chinese have been coming in through Mexico in increasing numbers.

Whatever the number, there are huge numbers of illegals in this country, and this makes an excellent argument to deport them. This is an invasion, and we have to fight back.
