Germany unnerved by scores of xenophobic attacks against refugees
Washington Post ^ | August 16, 2015 | By Anthony Faiola

MEISSEN, Germany — In a gesture of German goodwill, the administration in this medieval city leased a newly renovated apartment building here to humanely — even comfortably — house dozens of desperate asylum-seekers. The newcomers from Syria and other war- ravaged nations would enjoy freshly redone floors, cute balconies and shiny, modern appliances in a cheerful building near a timber-framed pub.

Then Meissen’s goodwill went up in smoke.

On a cool night six weeks ago, suspected right-wing arsonists struck the building, scorching its interior and rendering it uninhabitable days before the asylum-seekers were to move in. The attack added Meissen, a gothic castle town of 30,000 on the Elbe River, to a string of German cities caught up in an escalating rash of violence against refugees.

The acts include an ugly spate of arson targeting refugee centers as well as physical attacks on refugees themselves, marking the return of what critics say is an unnerving brand of xenophobia to Western Europe’s most populous nation.

The attacks are undercutting Germany’s image as the country leading the effort to aid a record flow of refugees into Europe, highlighting the rising social tensions in the region amid the avalanche of asylum-seekers. . .

Aesop had it thousands of years ago. The Farmer and the Viper, The Frog and the Scorpion.

Germans for Germany ... gee, what a concept.

And to clarify...one need not be "Aryan" to be a German, it is about adopting German language and culture.

This is in the former East Germany. The area that lost most of it’s territory after 1945. Their Army wore the old uniform without the eagle sewn on the right breast. I was there 2 years ago, there were many foreigners living there. I ate at a Vietnamese restaurant, a mid eastern Pizza place and found that most of the flea market people were from the mid east. Its kinda like NYC over there. Things are different in the little villages and small towns, but you can find non Germans everywhere. From what I can gather, there is a lot of grumbling by the natives, but a few of the skin head types are the ones who are most likely responsible for the actions against the minorities. Germany is no longer the one from the 1930’s.

The problem in Germany is that the government is agreeing to taking in these refugees in huge numbers. They are not assimilating and they cost lots of money. The German government, similar to our government, cares less about what the people think. They are trying to impose their views on the people and then blame them for reactions like this.

It is happening all over Europe.

Xenophobia in the 21st century civilized world is rational and essential.

"Xenophobia" is liberal newspeak, just like "homophobia."

What leftists call "xenophobia" is just a normal, healthy desire of people to preserve their national and cultural identities. Preferring your own countrymen to foreigners is necessary for nations to exist at all, which is probably why the Left is so hell-bent on subverting this instinct.

My understanding from relatives in Germany is that these people are treated like first class citizens over the German people by the government, money for nothing and homes for free. I just wonder why the average German paying for this is upset?

It seems that Germany is not yet through it’s infantile period of actual ‘freedom’.

The last hundred years were:
A Kaiser; A ‘republic’ of sorts; thrown back into a dictator; split with a dictator on one side, and the other not sure how to be a republic without shadowghosts; a unified bipolar nation.

Since they are still working on those ‘shadows’, should they enter into relationships with others who by culture are the most introverted peoples on thrr earth?

Not so different from the way most of the candidates running for President of the US seem to put the interests of our illegals ahead of the interests of US citizens, or from the way affirmative action creates all sorts of perks and privileges for our "minorities."

I have an idea...

Since it is about a month’s time for the beginning of OKTOBERFEST, let’s start the buzz about all that SAUSAGE.

maybe we can trun away a few jihadists in diapers, just by the allusions to ....
(as Sven the Cook would say) pork, pork, pork!

That graph is a disgusting example of what genocide looks like to the elites.

This trend is out of control and bound to lead to violence.
