GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump is doubling down on his stance against illegal immigration with a bombshell policy paper that calls for forcing Mexico to foot the cost of a border wall by impounding the money undocumented workers send home, while ending birthright citizenship for the American-born children of non-citizen parents.
Mexicos leaders have been taking advantage of the United States by using illegal immigration to export the crime and poverty in their own country while illegal workers send millions back the country in remittances, the paper states. In short, the Mexican government has taken the United States to the cleaners. They are responsible for this problem, and they must help pay to clean it up.
Trump detailed that and other immigration plans, in an immigration policy position paper released yesterday, the first policy statement released by Trumps campaign. It includes a call to tighten the political asylum standards, to divert money to what he called a refugee program for American children in poor, unsafe neighborhoods.
Trumps policy centers on three principles: building a wall at the Mexican border; increasing enforcement measures such as mandatory deportation of all criminal aliens and ending birthright citizenship; and prioritizing American workers through measures including restricted legal immigration.
But it stops short of calling for all of the estimated 11 million undocumented immigrants in the country to be deported a position Trump has repeatedly taken in recent weeks in interviews and on the campaign stump.
The policy drew bipartisan criticism.
Its based on scare tactics and nativist thinking, said
Fergus Cullen, a New Hampshire Republican strategist and co-founder of the national immigration reform advocacy group Americans by Choice.

I think he needs to because he’s the focus of everyone’s attention, and is the candidate that many will be trying to bring down. I’d like to see him avoid as much of this as he can.
If this policy becomes US policy the Rat plans to secure voting supremacy for decades evaporate. Interesting. How many times have we seen in the last decades that the nominee and winner embraces policies first arising from a candidate that failed?
Lets really see who the RINOs are after this.
fantastic point
Right, they have two choices.
#1 take the kids with you.
#2 turn them over for adoption or give a power of attorney to legal relatives in the USA.
They should take their kids and go though.
Did you know it coasts 200% more to try and educate these non English speaking kids. About 15k a year.
How much is 15k a year times all the kids here? How many hundreds of billions a year for education, welfare and medical costs do we pay?
No more anchor babies. Works for me!!
There are 16 other candidates. Where are their policy papers on anything?

Talk about buried under paper work, we would be if all the
Presidential candidates filed policy papers.

The Trump’s immigration plan is the best one on the market right now.
I am glad to see him flesh it out with these details. Most Americans (including legal Spanish Americans) want these types of measures taken to protect our sovereignty and what it means to be an American.
Irrespective of what this Administration’s, the RINOs, and the Progressive lib’s Caesar Chavez’s say on the matter.

When's the last time you had your beeber checked?
To everyone else, it's merely common sense.
He's such a good boy.
The sanctuary city Philthadelphia skool district registered more than 800 students from 70 countries speaking more than 40 native languages for the 2014-15 skool year.
I bet Trump has 100 people working on an education policy...and I’ll bet common core is destined for the circular file.......And we’re going to get back to....Education is a state and local matter.
I’m in California and we have all of that.
PLUS all the DISEASE they bring from the third world to our children.
Have you ever noticed how the media strategically uses words like “controversial or stuns” in their headlines not to inform us, but to manipulate us?
I just read a Fergus Cullen think piece from 2006. He blamed the woes of the Republican party on conservatives.
Northeast RINO. Nothing to see here.
No I disagree, no adoption, no turning over to relatives. Your baby you leave and take it.
