Dear Donald Trump Supporters:
Youre fed up. This much I understand. Youre fed up with politicians who say one thing on the campaign trail, like that theyre going to stop illegal immigration, and then do another in Washington; youre fed up with insiders who rig the system for their benefit at your expense; and youre fed up with coastal media elites and their insular subculture.
On some level I sympathize. In the last presidential election, I couldnt bring myself to vote for any of the candidates. I just left it blank. I wanted nothing to do with my awful options.
What I dont understand is why you think a President Trump would treat us better. If you elect the billionaire, what makes you think that he will use whatever talents that he possesses to address your grievances rather than to benefit himself? After all, hes a man who has zealously pursued his self-interest all his life.
Hes done so as a developer in New York City, where one must be a connected insider to succeed in real estate. He is himself a member of the media elite: a reality television start who had lucrative relationships with NBC and Univision. When he has a problem with Fox News, he calls Roger Ailes on the phone!
Remember that moment in the Republican debate where he talked about giving money to politicians so that, if he wanted them to do something, they would? Then he was asked, you gave money to Hillary Clinton, so what, exactly, did she do for you? He replied that when he called and told her to come to his wedding, she did. If you were getting married, would you want Hillary Clinton sitting in the front row?

When both left and right are full of people who are certifiably insane, the thing to do is to remove the crazy people from leadership.
There’s no option to do that on the left as yet, they seem to be doubling down on the crazy in fact, on the right we have Trump, and while Trump can be accused of a certain devil-may-care irrationality with respect to hair, the irrationality ends there.
Who said I thought that? Here's what I really think should happen:
Once you realize you're beyond the calculus of mainstream political thought you're not moved by appeals to hold up the structure for its own sake.
Donald thrives on success. Taking something and making it bigger and etter is what he does. Its a personal challenge for him
This is an entertaining side show. He’s got a tough row to hoe to win the nomination and we’re 7 months away from the real campaigning.
Maybe the benefit of Trump will be the resonating ideas of push-back, fight back, tell the brutal reality. Right now I support him because he upsets our party and is bringing turmoil and change to it because therein, is the only way to effect change upon the party. Yes, Cruz is a prime candidate for that too, he’s smart and silently supporting Trump. Cruz will get his dues and Trump will get his dues. Supporting Trump now is like supporting Cruz, and vehemently opposing every other establishment candidate.
Was there an actual question in that discombobulated rant?
The answer is: as bad as chemotherapy sounds, it’s still the way to go when you’re trying to treat cancer.
Definition of Insanity: Keep doing the same thing and expecting a different result.
There is no guarantee Trump will succeed in changing things, but at least there is a good chance he will fight. The professional politicians will go back to serving their real masters, the rich donors, and to hell with the vast middle class.
Trump has the most potential among all the candidates to change DC for the good.
How?
That question can be asked of all the candidates and the answer is the same. We don’t know for sure, however the fact that he’s rich means that he will have one less temptation.
But what has attracted me and a lot of other people is the fact that he has taken a sledgehammer to PC and the establishment. He comes across as unrehearsed, unmanaged, unpackaged. What you see is what you get. And so far the issues that he’s talked about resonate with a lot of conservatives ... and so does the style.
It’s still early in the process, we’ll see how he and the other progress.
Now I don’t necessarily ‘support’ Trump...but I ain’t stopped listening or observing either...but..
My choice apparently is to :
a. like the author, leave my vote blank because NO ONE merits my vote;
b. vote for Hillary! or whatever Democrat trash they throw up there; or
c. vote for the establishment Pubbie like I have for the last two elections.
Well, I’ll elect to hear Trump out at this point, and CLOSELY observe what the RNC does. I hate the RNC at this point, and haven’t given them a DIME in 20 years, exactly because of what they’re trying to ram down our throats now...ANOTHER LOSER.
Trump ain’t asking for my money unlike the RNC. I’ll donate to whomever I choose such as Cruz, or Carson...whatever.
But if Trump can win the nomination, I’ll be watching...and then crawling though broken glass to vote for him against whatever socialist the Dems put up.
What I love about Trump is that he’s wresting control of the Republican nomination process from the very hands that want to control it...and I trust Trump more than the RNC.
No.
Cruz 2016
I currently prefer to be lied to by a person of my own choosing and I currently prefer to be lied to by Donald.
I just did address Mr. Trump as Donald because I heard him say “ just call me Donald”, so he said it and I intend to from now on call him “Donald”.
I am a freeper with modest means and even so donate as often as I am asked by Mr. Robinson so to keep this wonderful site available so I can be called a moron, a loon, stupid by my betters and to learn daily that I don’t know what is going on, you know, the inside stuff that only the more sophisticated have access too.
I find that Donald’s conversations that I read on-line (don’t have a TV) resonate with me and I also find that Donald and me have a great many things in common.
Donald and me don’t drink or do drugs, nor smoke, really like woman and family, and often make mistakes and take responsibility for our errors without exception and excuses.
I have also built big things (small big things) and hired many employees, paid taxes when necessary and am having issues with combing my hair and pleasing everyone who I see just standing around doing nothing.
So yeah, you might say that I take it personal like when I read stuff written about Donald by people with funny names and sour looks that need to eat more and many that need to eat less and perhaps should just get a real job and have some life experiences.
My thanks to Donald and I hope to see and hear more from you in the future. Can I please have your autograph?
RE: We dont know for sure,
One huge difference is this -— ALL OF THE OTHER CANDIDATES HAVE PAST GOVERNING OR LEGISLATING RECORDS WE CAN LOOK AT.
Trump’s only record is his business and his private dealings with others, and that’s all we have to go with as of now. And if you look at the “letter” in this thread, that’s exactly what the writer is focusing on.
We have been sold out 100 percent by those we voted for and we have not been able to get a decent guy in the oval office due to the big money it takes to overcome the machine. Now we have Trump who is able to spend all the money he needs to in order to win. He is a master at self promotion and everyone in the country knows who he is. Consequently, the machine cannot paint him into being something so horrible we will vote for Bush who wants our country overflowing with illegals and our children taught by common core. Trump can be a vehicle for other conservatives and he can make a pathway for them that never could have been otherwise. Why? because Trump is the anti-corruption guy. No more lobbyists, no more open borders for ISIS to come in and put us in danger. No more!
How?
Winning attitude and confidence to get things done.
I think that a lot of Beltway Insiders miss the point of Trump.
It doesn’t matter, to some extent if he can do the things he is saying. The point is that they don’t even want us to talk about them. The point is the nation speech code the Demonrats and their Hellish minions in academifagia have forced on the rest of society.
The issue is free speech and the ability to conduct our lives without fear that Leftist thug is going to throw us into jail because of an off hand comment.
The issue that Trump has locked onto is PC speech and its deleterious effect upon a free society.
In his questioning there is one underlying assumption he has. He believes that he is right and that we are wrong. The question then becomes what makes him think that he is correct in his reasoning? Why is his logic flawless and how does he know he is not overlooking the obvious?
If indeed he believes in his flawless line of questioning and if his questioning is that dependable then why isn’t he running the show?
The answer is that he knows very little and has a very puny intellect.
The man's deeds are what should give you doubt. He is a huge employer of illegal aliens. He voids promises repeatedly. He socializes and has supported the socialist causes and operatives conservatives oppose, including Bubba.
Other than that, there's nothing to worry about.
