Ohio Governor and Republican presidential candidate John Kasich stated that he would prefer for illegal immigrants in the US to be legalized once we find out who they are in an interview broadcast on CNNs The Lead on Wednesday.
Kasich said of illegal immigrants already in the US, I would prefer for them to be legalized once we find out who they are, Because they I think they contribute a lot to America. Theyre hard workers, theyre god-fearing, theyre family-oriented. If they committed a crime, theyve got to be deported or put in prison. The only reason I say that is, we have to solve this, but I dont favor citizenship. I dont favor it and Im not sure we would ever have to do that. Lets make citizenship getting in here legally, thats my view on it. But Im just not going to pound the table on all these things and say, My way or the highway. I mean, I will on some things, but Ive got to be careful about that. Because you know what, I actually think about what it would be to be president. So, do you ever notice when people run for president, they make lots of promises and they never keep them?
Kasich also discussed moving away from his support for ending birthright citizenship, stating the move was because I dont believe it should be a fundamental part of this whole thing because I think it remains dividing people, to be honest with you. And look, Congressman from Ohio, somebody says if somebody comes in illegally and they have a kid, is the kid a citizen, maybe we shouldnt to do that. But I think we need to get over that.

That illegal, Razo, killed someone in his state in the last 2 weeks, so this is indefensible and by primary time, he will lose his support.
Discussing Kasich on the internet re: primary election is a complete waste of electrons.
So destroy the people who work for the benefit of those that don't. Is that right? How long will that last buffoon, phony?
I like yours too. Whatever gets the job done.
Pinheads like these two need to know it’s not worth bothering to run in the Republican party any longer, holding these points of view.
Thanks for your note of agreement.
Kasich needs to read at least the first chapter of Coulter’s latest book. I’m halfway through the book and if people had ANY idea what’s been going on they’d be rioting.
I prefer illegals get booted out of this country wish someone would have the guts to say that..and they can take their little “Dreamers” with them and their drugs and their rapists and murderers too
I’m sure the ILLEGAL immigrants would prefer that too!
They would also want retroactive benefits, from the time they left their home, till the day they get stopped by a cop or by border patrol.
John and Rand—here’s your hats. What’s your hurry?
OK, goodbye. See you later, unless we see you first.
See how simple that was?
Next!
Problem solved.
Go away, Kasich.
The only “solution” worse than giving them citizenship would be to “legalize” them without giving them citizenship.
The whole idea of formalizing a permanent underclass in this country is un-American.
He might as well quit now.
Kasich is another candidate of The Cheap Labor Express
I have a bad feeling that the Republican establishment will make Kasich their sub for Jeb, since Jeb is doing so poorly. Either that, or they will insist the nominee choose Kasich as VP running mate just because the dolt is from Ohio.
Kasich is unstable. He cannot control his temper.
Yeah, Ann knocks it out of the park.
I’m thinking of a new tagline: Anyone not furious by this time simply hasn’t been paying attention.
One reason so many conservatives have latched on to this odd fellow Donald Trump is that we know if the Democrats succeed in giving citizenship to 10% of Mexico, that’s the ball game.
No one is willing to vet the immigrants that are here. Seems to be a simple, logical requirement. Why won’t anyone voice support for, at a minimum deporting criminals.
Go home Kasich.
Same as Trump
