Verbal announcement that the previous surgery for a liver tumor has now been diagnosed as a cancer and it has apparently spread beyond the liver.
Thanks. Reflections on mortality = time-out for malice.
My sympathies to you, my dear. I’ve noticed that many don’t take seriously the devastation of a major cancer in people that are “old enough to die.”
I have a rare genetic mutation myself, I inherited it from my mom, and likely her mother, who was never tested. It was a real eye opener to know I have a 90% chance of cancer by age 60. But knowing gives me freedom to plan each day.
All I can say to you is get your testing done. Now! For you and any children.. There are drugs and courses of treatment specifically for inherited cancers. And every day it is becoming clearer that most cancers are inherited. Targeted treatment is the way of the future.
The headline I saw was “Former President Jimmy Carter Has Advanced Cancer”
His mom said that he’s always been an overachiever.
I think I just shed a...nope.
Peanut shell, maybe...
Metastatic cancer, eh?
I wonder how his family is holding up.
Me too!
Amen and big prayers to him.
My husband was told in April, 2006, that he had liver cancer. The drs gave him 6 months but he died in early July. After he died, we had to take his $4000 a month meds back to the pharmacy to be destroyed. We have often wondered if it were that dangerous, what did it do to him. We really, really miss him.
The work in liver cancer is new.
Investigators running the trials almost certainly need more patients, and are trying desperately to recruit them!!!!
You’re from the Canal Zone eh? Must have been a sad day for you when Jimmuh gave away your home.
I’ll give that an amen.
I’ve aired my opinion of Carter before on this forum, but I’m a miserable sinner myself, and it’s a grave thing to be facing eternity.
I have a hard time believing that a person as pro-abortion as he could be considered “right hearted”.
I won't comment on Carter's life, but I hope that his family has the wisdom to see that he gets a "good" death..
I pray he does not suffer for a long period of time.
IMO your MIL had the best death possible in her situation. God bless her soul, and you and your family, Ken.
Agree about Carter.
I’d say that he’s considerably flawed. He has supported the world’s most vile dictators and mass murderers. The blood of those they slaughtered is permanently on his hands.
That’s who the hell I am.
Carter was always pro-abortion. Therefore, no matter how many Bibles he toted around, or how many Sunday-school classes he taught, he was not a Christian.
Carter’s judicial nominees were ALL subjected to EXPLICIT examination on how they would rule on abortion. The same litmus test applied to virtually all other appointments.
Being pro-abortion is not a “political issue” or a matter of a “political take” on certain issues. It is totally incompatible with Christianity. No one who is pro-abortion is actually a member of Western Civilization.
Iran hates Jimmy for treating the Shah
Israel hates Jimmy for his preference for the Fakestinians
See Israel and Iran can unite on one issue
Jimmy you suck
Despite what I think of the man, I would not wish this on anyone
We were sold out.

But as a result, as a young teenager, I learned to not trust any demoncRAT...
