NO APOLOGIES
TRUMP DOMINATES DEBATE; DRUDGE POLL
FOXNEWS SCORES RECORD RATINGS

If Roger Ailes' employees don’t wind up picking the party’s nominee, it won’t be for lack of trying.

“1) The format is not that of a debate but more of a panel discussion.”

Correct.

Any talk of how great a debater Cruz is, is relevant in this type of format.

This wasn’t a debate, but a panel discussion. With very short time limits for discussion.

So, Trumps expertise and Cruzs expertise are both not available to be exercised in this format.

You are saying Trump is the same as Romney ???

No hes not Romney was for AMNESTY Trump is for not..

Romney said “we cant send them all back”

Trump says we can do so..

Romney said “We must find a path to citizenship”

Trump says they must go back home and then apply to come here legally if they are not criminals and if they pass muster and are qualified to IMMIGRATE here..

Trump is not the liberal cowardly Romney..

Believe me, if Trump were asked fair questions about how he’d fight terrorism or how he’d cut government waste and he started rambling, I’d admit it. But this was an historic hatchet job.

Here’s basically the questions he got.

Do you promise not to run as an Independent (after we take you out)?
Why do you hate woman so much?
Tell us more about your 4 bankruptcies?
Why are you a conspiracy theorist about Mexico?
Why do you call Republicans clowns and puppets?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thanks for posting the questions Trump was asked. Haven’t seen this “illuminating” list anywhere else on FR. It speaks for itself. The FOX objective was transparent.
Here are a couple more:
When did you decide to become a Republican?
Explain your flip-flop on abortion.
Do you still support a single-payer health-care system?
*****************************
ALL; Don’t miss Onyx’ important article in her thread posting. She titled the article “If Roger Ailes’ employees don’t wind up picking the party’s nominee, it won’t be for lack of trying.”
Among other important observations, it reveals how FOX tried to undermine the “LOSER” candidates in the undercard 5pm debate.
“Trump is literally the consummate RINO.”
Why don’t the RINOS know what you know? Why do RINOS hate Trump if he is one of them?
Something else is at work here and in my opinion it has more to do with who controls DC. Seemingly, Trump must threaten the rule of our masters in DC who are represented in the MSM, career politicians, bureaucratic and crony capitalists elites.
Maybe Trump is a phony, but right now I am taking him at his word that he is go to put up a hellacious fight on Immigration, and Trade, etc...
I’ve been disappointed by the Bushes, McConnell, Boehner, religious leaders, et al. It has gotten to the point where the USA is lost. Just maybe Trump has the gumption to fight for the USA to return as a great nation.
Yes, Megyn Kelly was a snarky bitch last night, not just to Trump, but to Cruz as well. It was obvious to the world that the FOX moderators had their favorites and were out to destroy their not-favorites.
FOX News is now truly Unfair and Unbalanced.
Trump is the consummate crony capitalist! And he admits it! Also, FYI, there’s nothing free market about casino gambling. It’s one of the most heavily regulated businesses in the US.
That’s Cruz’s gameplan. Trump isn’t winning this
If Cruz's plan really depends on Trump getting out of the race, he's in deep doo doo.
Oh, you’re ignoring all the areas where Trump and Romney agree. I mean they’re both east coast RINOs, but you’re right. They disagree on illegal immigration, but for different reasons.
Thank you both.
Excellent observations and insights'.
Not sure if you had been following the build up, but Wallace had been on FNC shows, bragging that some of his questions were "doozies."
Not to be outdone, Kelly was gleeful all week, hinting about her "tight" questions.
Yesterday, Rush spent most of his 3 hour show addressing the various pieces of drip-drip comments by the three and published articles and determined that BIG DONORS had ordered FNC to take TRUMP out.
You know, I think an actual panel discussion wouldn’t be a bad format - this thing went for three hours, enough time to cover at least some of the important issues.
Some suggestions on a format change for the Republican candidates...
1) Neutral moderators who stay in the background
2) Rather than narrow, often meaningless and stupid questions, that are given to only certain candidates (what a stupid format - can’t compare that way with the “moderators” picking for their own purposes who answers which issue), instead revolve the discussion around four or five generally-agreed top issues of the day: a) big government b) the economy c) illegal immigration d) foreign policy e) national security
3) An open discussion of each issue, one issue at a time for a certain time period. Maybe each with brief opening statements on the issue, then opening it up to any and all to participate. This would of course also allow for meaningful open discussion and debate allowing the audience to actually compare and contrast the candidates, instead of these stupid 30-second sound bytes.
However, you may have to have some sessions that will mirror the 2016 General Election debate format to see how Republican candidates would do against Hillary
I don’t really want to waste time with you. I have limited time and limited patience. I cannot believe you are as clueless as you make yourself out to be. If you are, why advertise it?
When Drudge put up his poll last night, I voted. I took note of the fact that after a MASSIVE initial surge of voting, Trump stood at 51%.
Mid morning today I thought I’d check back. However, instead of getting the poll results, I was offered a second chance to vote.
Now perhaps you can figure it out. At which point does a poll that allows repeat voting have the most unique hits: immediately after the initial surge, or after it has been up for many, many hours, offering repeat voting opportunities with every hr it remains online?
If you can’t figure this out, stop wasting my time.
McCain picked Palin to prove conservative credentials. Then muzzled Palin to show his true colors.
