If the 3rd party is a conservative and we vote for him we voted for a conservative. If the republican party runs another democrat as you mentioned and you vote for him you voted for the liberal.
I think basically, all of the candidates except for Trump did well; but that was a tough first question for all of them.
Carson is going to get the military vote by a landslide, if any of the military heard him.

I liked Cruz tonight....loved him, but I voted for Trump in the Drudge poll because I wanted to poke the eye of the Republican establishment. So the Drudge poll does not exactly reflect reality.
I don’t think Rande will ever be ready for primetime. He’s been around for 5 years now and has hardly improved his interview/debate skills.
Trump’s winning strategy was to do as you said, and spend all him time going after HRC.
When you were as far ahead as he was, when you are the lead dog,, never let yourself be dragged down into the pack.
His problem is that his ego can’t stand anything but worship, and it cost him big tonight.
I wish he had pulled out a copy of the Booklet that the Mexican Government hands out to the Border Crashers that tells them how to do it.

He perfectly described Obama’s actions.
I think that’s what Poll voters are doing, sticking it to FOX for trying and failing to stick it to Trump, they thought they had the power to destroy Trump.
That said Cruz was hands down winner of this debate.
