Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz said the the nine GOP presidential candidates who will take the debate stage Thursday with frontrunner Donald Trump will be wise not to take him on.
"Donald Trump is going to win any confrontation," Dershowitz said Tuesday on "CNN Tonight."
"He's a populist," Dershowitz said of Trump. "He doesn't have to worry about what he says."
Republican voters love the billionaire real estate developer because he doesn't have speechwriters, and anyone who takes him on is going to lose, Dershowitz said.

I can’t think of Dershowitz any more without picturing him getting into a sixteen year old’s pants. Her memories were pretty descriptive. If he cheated on his wife with an adult, I’d be able to listen to the content of what he says. But I can’t.

Dershowitz knows what he’s talking about.
In the circles he moves in, he’s seen other Trump-quality opponents.
When did that happen?
He’s stretching the story a wee bit.
But Cruz won’t take on Trump, and that is the smart thing to do right now.
Trump is a counter-puncher, and he is great at it. He has a fighter’s instinct and he just don’t care what you think of him.
Cruz understands that and will not throw any punches Trumps way. He will let Trump hammer those who are desperate to land a blow.
Cruz may have to eventually go after him, but right now is not the time. Let the Honey Badger of the GOP nomination take on everyone who wants to fight him.
I would love for Rubio to take a shot at Trump. I have no respect for Rubio the Boobio, he says his support for Amnesty has changed, at least Jeb tell the same story as bad as it is. Rubio wants us to think he has Trumps position. Rubio said “ I am still in favor of Amnesty I realize I don’t have the votes, and I won’t bring it up until we do.
Rubio is a deceiver. Trump, Cruz, even Jeb say what they mean if you don’t like it don’t vote for them. I don’t like Guys like McConnell, Boner who promise and lie to the base.

After Dershowitz complained about the new rape rules the liberals are seeking to foist on the colleges (you must ask and she must say ‘yes’ ever 3-5 seconds or it is rape) he was retaliated against with a false rape allegation.

I am cheering on trump as a breath of fresh air to shake things up.. but invincible? Uh no. Trump can’t even speak in complete sentences and has flip flopped on issues without a proven track record on policy matters. Every candidate has weak areas and trump sort of let’s it all hang out. A smart debater can expose his weaknesses. Of course I am not sure where the smart candidates are except for cruz and trump. :-). We will see how he does in the debates.

Sounds like he's also a populist who doesn't have to worry about what he says.
Dershowitz is a left-wing Democrat, don’t forget that.
I believe what he says about Trump the debate opponent. I’m not buying what he thinks about Republican politics.
