Watch this video interview closely. It aired tonight on the Megyn Kelly show. Do you spot the two tell tale moments. [ Hint: how Kelly ended the interview of Senator Ted Cruz is a big one. ] Megyn too-cute-by-half Kelly has been preparing for, and refining, her debate moderator approach. This segment gives insight into what her approach will be toward Donald Trump, she cant hide it.
As previously stated:
It would appear Kelly has an interest in spotlighting Trump around an inferred position of sexism. This is transparently not accidental.
Kelly has a history of self-promotion by making herself the story inside the story, as she did with Jeb Bush and the interview segment: knowing what you know now, was it a mistake to go into Iraq? etc. Megyn Kelly enjoys being the center hub amid the wheels of divisive interests
I watched the interview last night and didn’t think she was hard on Cruz at all. Cruz didn’t act even vaguely uncomfortable by any of her questions. He did want to say one more thing when the time ran out and they went to a break, but he seemed to just accept it as TV reality.
The only hard question she asked him was the middle question about the deal. He said there was no deal. Then brought up his high regard for Trump. She asked a fair question: “Why not get out and let him run?”
He said because he’s led on those issues Trump’s been getting publicity for.
I didn’t think there was anything tricky about it at all. I thought it was a question that caught the edge of a sharp mind. And a sharp mind answered back.
Trump might be the one to ask those questions. The media hates him because he is unpredictable and will speak the truth about the media, even to their faces and during a debate.
While Cruz is ever the gentleman. Which is something I respect, but it’s nice to see someone say what I’m thinking.
seen the photo’s and I agree with you. Times might have changed but to me she still dresses like one and I still will think like I do about her.
She has been getting a little too snarky for quite a while so much so that I removed her program from my Tivo SeasonPass.
I suspect her real character will show up for the debate Turkey Shoot Thursday.
I thought the Warren comments, the head banging comments, were childish and beneath the level of what should be expected of a United States Senator or someone with her education, she was reduced to name calling and unable to retort with substance. Though childish disjointed commentary is typical of democrats.
The condescending expression on her face during Cruz's answer told you more than what she said.
Huck outed the foul mouthed blondes after he left FOX.
The condescending faces she made during split screen shots that told her real story.
Some one should invent a P.T. Barnum award.
She is definitely “full of herself” these days and obviously for Jeb.
Any woman willing to wear those godawful gladiator shoes is anything but brilliant.
She should not ruin her reputation by imposing herself as a player in the debate rather than a professional moderator. She’ll make a lot of enemies and ruin her reputation if she fouls up the debate like the liberals do.
Kelly is smart, witty and fun as a talking head. She’s not running for president so should not act like her agenda matters during the debate.
“Is the woman actually a Conservative or only plays one on tee vee? Seems to be very Liberal in some areas; more moderate, conservative in others.”
Megan is a chameleon.
Has she gone to the dark side?
Maybe borderline rude the way she cut him off a couple times. Overall, not that good of an interview. Didn’t reveal anything. blah blah blah.
Actually, not even worth watching.
Win what? The Presidency? Hate to break it to you but very few American's vote for President based on "exuding confidence in defending Constitutional Conservatism". Even among GOP primary voters that isn't a clearly majority winning pitch.
So far what we've seen is that Trump is the Master of the Media, not Cruz. Cruz makes technically good arguments, but he's not nearly as skilled at dominating the media, nor at rebutting criticism.
Cruz is a serious person, with a good background for the job, unlike Trump. But he's not coming across in a way that is even getting him into the top tier, much less the leader position.
Like Rand, I think Cruz's moment has come and gone. He had a time there where he could have been the person everyone went to, but he didn't seize it. I never did hear him denounce Clinton and Obama in quite the blunt tone Trump has, for instance.
And his support for H1B and equivocating position on TPP all cost him with a big swath of GOP voters.
He is moving up a little, but still:
In summary he's at the middle or bottom of the second tier, and going no where. Where is the Ted momentum? He's been in the race a long time. His latest "cooking bacon with a machine gun" stunt was weird and uncomfortable, not the stuff a front runner does. Similar to stunts by Lindsey and Rand Paul.
I guess anyone still in the second tier can hope for a breakthrough, but where is it going to come from? What State can Cruz win in? Texas? He was ahead there in June, no telling now.
Maybe he could win a brokered convetion, but short of that I don't see his path right now.
I agree.
What kind of person could go out and defend Planned Parenthood right now?
Frankly it verges on demonic.
What are gladiator shoes?
bump
I’m not a Kelly fan. She’s way to in love with herself.
