The Kraft Heinz Co. is voluntarily recalling about 36,000 cases of Kraft Singles cheese products because some of the packaging film may stick to the slices and pose a choking hazard.
The recall applies to 3-lb. and 4-lb. sizes of Kraft Singles American and White American pasteurized prepared cheese product. The products being recalled have a "best when used by" date of Dec. 29, 2015 through Jan. 4, 2016, followed by the manufacturing code S54 or S55.

Should be recalled for false advertising. That stuff ain’t cheese. :)

That Kraft sliced crap is only about 50% cheese-the taste of it is a choking hazard...

Plastic wrapped “cheese” slices are not real cheese. That’s why they call it “cheese product.” I refuse to buy the individually wrapped slices. I buy the real stuff. You can really taste the difference. It’s worth the difference in price.

I can’t remember the last time I ate that plastic. Oh wait, they’re talking about the outer wrapper.

They make that icky Cheese Whiz stuff, too-which is also “cheese product”-the slices are probably just a solidified version of it.
Sargento and a couple of other brands of “real” cheese are really not that much more expensive...

Nasty, nasty stuff. I don't know how people can consider that cheese. Also, that stuff that comes out of a spray can.
Now this below is cheese...

Plastic wrap “cheese” slices is redundant. It’s all plastic.

I don't know. I think their American cheese slices, Deluxe Mac & Cheese, and grated Parmesan and Romano, are all pretty good.

What popular brand makes better tasting versions of these cheeses, in your opinion? ie, Mac & Cheese, Grated Romano/Parmesan, American Cheese slices.

They don’t have a mac & cheese but for everything else Sargento, much better. For parm even better than Sargento is the Digorno, better still go for the Digorno Three, parm, romano and asiago. In mac & cheese I start with Kraft because I’m too lazy to go from scratch, but I always add at least 3 type of actual cheese to it, just slice it thin and let it melt during the final phase.
