Because of the small sample size, there were a lot of questions surrounding Mondays Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll that showed Donald Trump leading the Republican primary field and, interestingly enough, appearing to siphon votes away from establishment candidates like Jeb Bush and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL)
80%
. A Monmouth University poll also released Monday, and with a somewhat larger sample size and smaller margin of error, shows Trump in first place, beating both Scott Walker and Jeb Bush combined.
The poll puts Trump in first place with 26% support. Second place Jeb Bush and third place Scott Walker sit at 12% and 11%, respectively.
That is what you call a blow out.

The Shrub will hang around for awhile, pushing his globalist agenda, then #POOF#
Walker is all but done.
But Rove said he had huge unfavorables yesterday. He must not have known about this poll.
Pray America is waking
One thing to is that I believe people might would actually turn out in a general election to vote for an outsider. They’re so sick of the politicians from both parties.
It will take an outsider to clean that place up.
Hot Air poll out, Cruz still first.
Trump at 26%?
That means right now 76% are not for Trump.
74%
Trump at 26%. 77% are not for Jeb or Scott combined.
This will be in the High School History books for decades to come.
Pray America is waking
It may be time to change that prayer to one of thanks, as in ‘Thank you Lord, America may be opening it’s sleepy eyes.’
With as many people running as there are, 26% is not bad at all.
The ‘glass is half-full; not half-empty’....
how bout both?.......Cruz/Trump....Trump would actually get something done and Cruz would know what TO get done.....
Donald Trump Surges in New NBC News/WSJ Poll
"...Jeb Bush is the second choice of 16 percent of respondents, with Carson, Trump, and Rubio all winning the second choice spot from 11 percent of voters....."
Donald Trump Leads Republican Presidential Pack, WSJ/NBC Poll Finds
"......The new poll, whose full results will be released Monday, was based on a survey conducted July 26-30, after Mr. Trump made widely publicized controversial statements, such as when he disparaged former GOP presidential nominee John McCain.
The differences among the top-tier candidates are small enough that they are within the polls margin of sampling error. Still, the double-digit jump among Republicans picking Mr. Trump as their first choiceup from 1% in the June pollwas significant.
Whats more, Republicans who dont see Mr. Trump as their first choice seem to be warming to him. The share of GOP voters who pick him as second choice rose to 11% in the new survey from 3% in June...."
Ruh-roh. There goes Karl Rove’s complaint—that Trump’s unfavorables give him a low ceiling.
how bout both?.......Cruz/Trump....Trump would actually get something done and Cruz would know what TO get done.....
I would love that.
74% divided among the other 16 hopefuls. Right?
O.K., so that figures out to each of the other 16 averaging 4% and change, each......or stated another way, Trump has 600% more support than any one of the other candidates, on average.
