The identities of the 10 Republicans likely to be on stage at Thursdays presidential debate are coming into focus after another poll on Monday shows Donald Trump running away from the rest of the field and Rick Perry lagging behind his competitors for the final spot.
A new Monmouth University poll has Trump at 26 percent, easily topping his competitors. The next-closest candidates former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker are at 12 percent and 11 percent, respectively.
Both the new Monmouth survey and an average of the five most-recent live-caller polls Fox News criteria for whittling the list of Republicans down to 10 candidates for Thursday nights debate reinforce the tiers that have developed since Trump upended the race by surging to the top

10 is seriously too many for a real debate. Five would be pushing it
Quick look:
Big lead for Trump. Cruz tied for 4th with the Huckster. This should move Cruz into 4th in the next RCP poll average.
Donald Trump 26%
Jeb Bush (12%)
Scott Walker (11%)
Ted Cruz (6%)
Mike Huckabee (6%)
Ben Carson (5%)
Chris Christie (4%)
Rand Paul (4%)
Marco Rubio (4%)
John Kasich (3%).
Carly Fiorina 2%
Rick Perry 2%
Bobby Jindal 1%
Rick Santorum 1%
Lindsey Graham 1%
George Pataki 1%
Jim Gilmore 1%
Good news ping
Thx for that.
Could it be that Americans are just tired of politicians?
Agreed. In a 90 minute debate, how many minutes does that give each candidate? Considering the time to ask the questions, commercials, etc.? What? 5 minutes tops? Ridiculous.
Great news. No stopping Trump.
Americans are sick and tired of career politicians and want someone who will brush aside PC and #MakeAmericaGreatAgain.
there are 6 that are statistically tied, indistinguishable for third.
It is a quantum jump to the next level where Bush and Walker are statistically tied.
It is a double or triple quantum leap for either of those two to reach the level of the Donald
Ted Cruz,Mike Huckabee,Ben Carson,Chris Christie,Rand Paul, and Marco Rubio are statistically and perhaps even effectively out of the race absent something big.
Nobody’s with a war chest of millions is out until actual votes are counted.
numbers don’t lie ...
Clear back in 1995 Trump was ‘showing in deed” his great interest in our Vets.....good read.
In 1995,... the fiftieth anniversary of World War II, only 100 spectators watched New York Citys Veteran Day Parade. It was an insult to all veterans. Approached by Mayor Rudy Giuliani and the chief of New York Citys FBI office, Mr. Trump agreed to lead as Grand Marshall a second parade later that year......
... Mr. Trump made a $1 million matching donation to finance the Nations Day Parade..... On Saturday, November 11th, over 1.4 million watched as Mr. Trump marched down Fifth Avenue with more than 25,000 veterans, some dressed in their vintage uniforms. A month later, Mr. Trump was honored in the Pentagon during a lunch with the Secretary of Defense and the entire Joint Chiefs of Staff.

.
Too bad that liberation theologist Kasich made it in over Carly.
It appears to be Trump, GOPe#1 and GOPe#2 (Bush and Walker).
I can't see the donors funding more than one or two candidates past this week's debate with an existential threat (Trump) howling at their door.
Its where those lesser candidates supporters throw their support that will determine the winner.
Cruz or Trump any others and i’ll just set home because its the UNIparty bullshit.
But Rove said he had a low ceiling whatever that means?
Pray America is waking
Rove will develop amnesia soon.
