No one is talking about Carson’s lack of political experience, because no one is talking about Carson much at all these days.
For the time being, Carson is right. If Ben survives the debates and makes the Iowa Caucus, the Dems will be coming after him. Carson better get his game face on and keep it on. I still do not see him as a strong candidate. I think his worldviews are not fully developed or rational at this time, ala Herman Cain. Maybe he’ll cram for the finals.
It should not matter, but I think Ben’s stage presence is not helped by his soft light speaking voice. I don’t know if this can or even should be changed. He’s in his mid-60’s, so what you see (and hear) is what you get.
Carson has the chance of being President like a white guy in a Tux and High Hat and Cane walking threw Harlem using the “N-word”..
He doesn’t bring much and he won’t be president. Sadly, my husband and I were watching this this morning and when the camera caught him unaware, he looked like he was fast asleep. That, combined with his laid-back speaking style is death in ‘16. For all the flack Herman Cain took on FR, he had joy, humor and snark that is alien to Dr. Carson. I loved Cain.
IMO, far more than the professional politician. I'm tired of business as usual in the DC cesspool. Not saying I support Carson BUT he is every bit as qualified as the rest of the pack.
I think he’s a good guy. Not POTUS material, but definitely an asset in a cabinet post, and someone I’d want in the operating room if I or a loved one were needing life-saving surgery.
Carson was also one of the first voices that really hit Obamacare hard and called it out for what it was. That get’s overlooked now because, you know, Trump now is apparently the only guy who’s ever taken on Obama or the GOPe in the last 30 years. Who knew?
How? How? So every above average doctor should be running for our highest office? Or is it his skin color?

Seriously, why does every candidate for president in most peoples minds have to be a politician? A governor or senator? How is Ted Cruz qualified? He is brilliant but so is Carson. Let him make his case to the American people. He’ll never get the nomination but that doesn’t mean he can’t try. According to the US Constitution, he is qualified.
My experience of Hopkins pediatric neurosurgery suggests he is a briiant team leader.
and btw, Carson is far from an “average doctor”. I also think his skin color is exactly why so many people here don’t like him, fwiw.
