TRUMP: MOVE NON-CRIMINAL ILLEGALS ‘BACK IN’ LEGALLY, I’LL ‘DO SOMETHING’ WITH DREAMERS
Breitbart ^ | July 29,2015 | Ian Hanchett

Posted on 07/29/2015 7:09:14 PM PDT by Hojczyk

Trump stated, “Number one, the first thing we do, is get the bad ones out. we have a lot of bad dudes as I said, you have a lot of really bad people here. They’re in our prisons, and they’re clogging up our prisons. I want to them to go back — and not only Mexico, I want to get them back to the country…and I want them to be in their prisons.”

Trump, then stated that he could find these illegal immigrants and “get them out,” a process that he argued is “feasible

He added, “We have to bring great people into this country, okay? And I want to bring — I love the idea of immigration, but it’s got to be legal immigration. Now, a lot of these people are helping us, whether it’s the grapes, or whether it’s jobs, and sometimes it’s jobs, in all fairness, I love our country, but sometimes it’s jobs that a citizen of the United States doesn’t want to do. I mean, there are jobs that a lot of people don’t want to do. I want to move them out, and we’re going to move them back in, and let them be legal, but they have to be in here legally. … Otherwise, you don’t have a country. You don’t have a country, if people can just pour into the country illegally, you don’t have a country, but I would expedite the system.”

Trump elaborated that he would give these illegal immigrants, “Legal status,” not citizenship, but, “later down the line, who knows, what’s going to happen.” He clarified that this meant citizenship would be “something I would think about, but I would say right now no. I’m not open to it. I would say legal status.”

Trump is to Conservatives what ‘Brobama’ was to liberals. Just like ‘Brobama’ he is throwing red meat out and many conservatives are gobbling it up, but I assure you 5 minutes after he stepped into Oval Office all those promises would disappear as fast as they did with ‘Brobama’ and all those FR loyal ‘Trumpettes’ will be crying in their beer before his furst term runs out.

I can’t wait for the Youtube video which will be like the the one of the liberal black lady gushing over ‘Brobama’ and talking about him paying her rent and food and gas, but it will be some middle aged Tea Partier giddy over Trump saying:

“No more illegals and those here shipped back, and a secure wall will now be built and Mexico has to pay for it all!” An them really believing that Mexico will pay for it!

Mmmmmm... I wouldn’t have any trouble with that so long as that is precisely what it is and is not going to be abused by the government to allow the rest of the world to squat in my country.

I don’t trust my government to not abuse and corrupt otherwise good systems for its schemes. Some bad people in government ;/

Otherwise your criticism of Trump smacks of subterfuge.

Trump is not a conservative, that's not subterfuge that's a fact.

Ted Cruz wants to cut off the jobs and the government benefits, this is what will cause them to self-deport.

“Jobs Americans Won’t Do” = jobs a member of the Bush family wouldn’t do

No matter how much we may enjoy watching the (probably quite temporary) take down of the political and media establishments that has been taking place, Donald Trump solves nothing.

Not only has he always been wrong on principles and policy, being a liberal Democrat, his recent, oh-so-politically-convenient “conversion” amounts only to him morphing, at least partially, from liberal Democrat positions toward most of the stances of establishment Republicans. In other words, he’s still wrong on principles and policy.

This is just the latest example. If you manage to sort through Trump’s rather confused words, and boil it down, there’s not a dime’s worth of difference between his position and that of Jeb Bush.

Oh no, we won’t give them a path to citizenship. We’ll give them “legal status.” In other words, we’ll formalize what we already have: a subclass inside America.

Which isn’t very American, to put it bluntly.

Attrition is the best way forward.

The dirty little secret about illegal immigration that’s never discussed concerns the group that will suffer the most for it.

Unfortunately, “expand quotas”, “more green cards” also translates into “legal status” as another candidate actually espoused on in a bill but Trump is putting the issue up front and center. And 70% (69% ?) of Americans are against Amnesty, I hope Trump and the others consider this.

Maybe I’m wrong, one consolation seems to be that “legal status” doesn’t give them the right to vote but it would seem to be difficult to deny it later.

Trump may be “mercurial”, spur of the moment but he definitely has my ear and he is, like Buchanan said, “a man of action”, we can talk about this stuff for ad infinitum, what we need is some real action and as said earlier, a real fence would be a good start.

Trump still seems to have Americans’ interest at heart but we will see.

>> Donald Trump solves nothing.

So many axioms, postulates, and theories about what will work and what won’t — and likewise, our well-intended contention will likely keep us in the minority until the stars are perfectly aligned. That’s fine. I love watching the stars across the night’s sky.

Let’s get real. He’s taking what amounts to the Jeb Bush position on granting “legal status” to illegals.

And that’s just one of the critical issues we face. He’s no better on the rest of them either.

The best positions you’re going to see out of him will end up being the GOPe position.

The worst ones will be the liberal Democrat positions he clings to, like single-payer socialized medicine. Like Trump said on that issue in Phoenix: “Sorry conservatives. We have to take care of everybody.”

Trump solves nothing.

Shoot, we're in the minority even when we win the majority.

You haven't noticed?

Just 2 yrs ago Cruz proposed amendments to the Gang Of 8 Bill. Meaning, since he chose to amend it, he would be voting FOR it .

He proposed to "expand green card opportunities" (whatever that means in a bill that's supposed to be addressing the illegal situation) and "increase high-skilled “H1B” visas"...I'm sure a lot of you (unemployed) "high skilled" Cruz supporters would jump for joy over that one.

But hey, it's all about Trump.

Just move along, nothing to see here. Don't pay any attention to the guy behind the curtain.

but sometimes it’s jobs that a citizen of the United States doesn’t want to do

This is the meme he has bought and it’s not true as far as I can tell.

Oh, yes it is.

******

I'm starting to like Trump, but I would like him to list what jobs he is talking about that Americans won't do.

For instance, it is difficult for me to believe that there are jobs in landscaping and construction that Americans refuse to do for a decent wage?

Just wondering: How did this country survive in the 50's, 60's, and 70's when the illegal problem was much smaller than it is today?

How did we win World War II? Did illegals win the war for us?

Really, would fast food places like McDonald's go out of business if it could not hire Spanish-speaking illegals anymore?

Imagine this: you could go into a fast food place and all the workers spoke English and without a foreign accent? We can hope can we, but I think that day is long gone.

Remember when California and Texas were at least 70% English-speaking? Never again.

Trump visited Laredo, Texas recently: I was surprised to learn that this booming city with good jobs on the Mexican border was 95% Mexican-American.

What happened in Laredo over the years? Are non-Mexican-Americans like blacks and non-Hispanic whites scared to apply for jobs and live there, because they face unspoken prejudice from the 95% Mexican-American population? Just wondering.

“the number one thing I don’t want them doing is voting”

This is one reason why they should never obtain citizenship.

Basically, Trump is in favor of the old Mike Pence ‘touch back’ path to citizenship....the revolving door...will expedite legal return after they’ve returned home.

“In the last election Romney did use “self-deportation”, which Trump didn’t agree with. Trump thought it was too harsh.”

Well that tactic didn’t do Romney any good, so why should Trump repeat the mistake?

IOW - he understands the logistics and roadblocks entailed with a full-blown deportation and some folks get all twisted up because it doesn’t meet their meme even though the only real facts they have are what they dream up in their own little “utopia” heads.

Like he said they gotta go with their parents out of the country.

He didn't say that. He seemed uncertain on exactly what he would do. Which shows that Trump really doesn't know what he'd do with illegals, other than build a wall if Mexico will pay for it.
