Yes, out of those 40 million working in some way for the government, very few perform something really useful work for the citizens. A flat tax would decimate IRS. Moving education responsibility to states would decimate dept. of education. Ditto with medicaid and medicare. Another useless dept is commerce. What they spend could be much more productive by giving private businesses an equivalent tax reduction. Dept. of energy is another white elephant.

I don't care about names of celebrities, good or bad. Government employees, pensioners and connected services can either take a soft landing with gradual cuts in spending, or we can go more quickly to default and much greater numbers of office closings, layoffs and pension haircuts.

I don’t see how I am denigrating Trump by disagreeing with his proposal and stating my belief on the matter.

Despite being a Cruz supporter, I have spoken in defense of Trump, and I have complimented him pretty extensively. I invite you to look at my recent posting history on Trump if you don’t believe me on that.

Even though I have in fact called trump a clown in the past, it seems that I was wrong. I think he’s a good man and a proud American, and I respect that.

I don’t fully trust him, or maybe it might be better to say that I don’t know exactly where he is coming from, but I am giving him the benefit of the doubt in assuming that he is telling the truth on him saying what his beliefs and intentions are in 2015.

I say that it is okay if he has changed his mind on positions he may have had in the past.

Given the opportunity, I would tell Ted Cruz directly what I think about illegal aliens. I don’t think he would agree with me, maybe he would surprise me, I don’t know.

I blame Washington DC for creating this problem, and I expect them to solve it by reversing it. I am not going to be made to feel guilty by rejecting illegal aliens. They did it, they can undo it, if anyone should feel guilty it’s the federal government.
