I want to move them out, and we’re going to move them back in, and let them be legal, but they have to be in here legally. … Otherwise, you don’t have a country. You don’t have a country, if people can just pour into the country illegally, you don’t have a country, but I would expedite the system.”
Trump elaborated that he would give these illegal immigrants, “Legal status,” not citizenship, but, “later down the line, who knows, what’s going to happen.” He clarified that this meant citizenship would be “something I would think about, but I would say right now no. I’m not open to it. I would say legal status.”

I don’t think he needs to change anything. Trump fudges worse than most politicians but it is an example of the kind of honesty that people are eating up.
There is a key difference. He wants to secure the border and they really have no intention of doing it. They have pushed “comprehensive reform”. Optimally I would like all illegals returned to their home countries but the number one thing I don’t want them doing is voting. Securing the border and making the job market hostile to hiring illegals would solve the problem with illegal immigration. If Trump will commit to that and have a strong conservative as a VP I’d vote for him.
I’m clearly not a Trump fan but we’ve got to recognize what is happening in Mexico and Central America. A virtual civil war has engulfed Mexico with the Narco Cartels and much of the elites suppressing and killing the poor and middle class. Those people entering the USA are in large part criminals and narco thugs escaping the dominant cartels plus the thugs belonging to the cartels and coming here to do business. The smaller group are country people and poor laborers trying to escape the carnage. This last group is composed of the actual victims of the civil war but are hard to distinguish from the criminals. Closing the border and vetting those here is an essential first step.

I never once hear any liberals saying they would fasttrack the legal immigrants who’s processing takes years. Just making ‘it so’ for dreamers who never applied.

What he is advocating is a return to the way it used to be; seasonal worker permits and then they return home.
When my Grandparents came here from Eastern Europe, there was no welfare system. They worked at menial jobs and raised kids who obeyed the laws and served their country in the U.S. Military during wartime.
They lived during the Great Depression when many were poor. They didn’t riot in the streets, they were just happy to be free.

I don’t think my credibility is in question at all.
I am saying want, and I am quite serious, and a I am not lying, so I really don’t see why you would question my credibility.
Furthermore, I support Cruz, and Cruz does not agree with my position either, yet I still have my position.
I don’t see why any citizen of this country is under any obligation to tolerate any illegal alien within our borders.
I can’t help that none of our candidates have the guts to say that they will undo what the federal government has done on purpose with this illegal alien invasion of America.
I wish they did have the guts, but obviously they don’t. I have to pick someone to vote for though, and I have picked Cruz, knowing full well that I don’t agree with him on this issue.
