The New Battle Lines: Elitists Vs. Us

Many people are under the mistaken impression that the political battle lines in America are Democrats vs. Republicans. Some even erroneously believe the battle lines are Liberal vs. Conservative. However, if you wish to truly understand modern politics in our country -- if you want to make sense of the seemingly-irrational behaviors of both parties -- consider the reality that the battle lines are actually Elitists vs. The People.

In 2014, Republicans were swept into office in the midterms, ostensibly to turn back Obamaism. Obamacare was to be repealed, or, at the least, relief was to be offered for the suffering the program is causing. Iran was to be denied resources for developing a nuclear weapon, or, at the least, slowed in that development. Obama's penchant for going outside the bounds of the Constitution by sidestepping Congress with overreaching and illegal Executive Orders was to be halted, or, at the least, censured. Illegal alien invasion was to be stopped or curtailed and violators were to be prosecuted and shipped back to their countries of origin.

Instead, the establishment Republicans re-elected the Crying Cheeto John Boehner and Yertel the Turtle Mitch McConnell to head the two Legislative bodies (have we ever had such freakish House and Senate leaders?). Lead by those two feckless elitists, we got the following results:

  1. On Obamacare, many votes have failed on repeal. Most recently the Senate vote for repeal failed.
  2. Per Iran's quest for the atomic bomb, there has been no action by either party to stop an illegal 'agreement' that went outside the bounds of the Constitutional treaty mechanisms. Though they claim to be 'irked', there is no follow-up action.
  3. As regards Obama's lawlessness and failure to heed the Constitution, no one in either body has taken to the podium to denounce Barack's dangerous behavior.
  4. And on illegal alien invasion, not only is the House and Senate not forcefully demanding that illegal aliens be deported, they cannot even agree to deny illegal aliens drivers licenses, and only barely rejected allowing illegal aliens into the military. Any student of the decline of Rome knows how bad an idea that would have been.
  5. As a bonus -- and even after videos surfaced that showed Planned Abortionhood ghoulishly selling the body parts of dead fetuses -- the Senate blocked a vote to defund the ghastly enterprise.
The Republicans are acting in a manner most reminiscent of Democrats. It appeared that there IS no difference between the two parties... none at all. That is what informed me that those are not the battle lines. That is not the divide. The two parties agree on most of the major issues we face today.

In the Republican grassroots, there was and is great frustration when the lack of opposition (by the establishment Republicans) to Democrat policies became apparent. There are murmurings of discontent on the far-left, as well, that the Democrats are only paying lip service to their important issues.

It has become quite clear that the real fight that of Elitists against The People.

This explains the vigorous support and consistently-meteoric poll numbers that Donald Trump is seeing. Whether he is truly a Populist remains to be seen, but at minimum, he is speaking as one. This seldom-heard speech in Washington is appealing to a large number of people who feel ignored by the Elitist Party, be they Republican or Democrat. Donald Trump is even appealing to the Democrat-coveted minority population.

Ronald Reagan won as a Populist. He fought the Republican establishment and won the primary in 1980, and went on to become the most anti-big-government, anti-communist, pro-ordinary-citizen President in modern history. His sweeping re- election in 1984, capturing nearly every single state (including liberal ones), showed that Populist policies are popular even in liberal bastions. Of course, there will always be liberals that cling to Elitism, and those are usually the ones who favor Socialism or Communism.

I do not mean to compare Trump to Reagan in any way except to show that Trump's populism is a winning strategy, and it appears that -- whatever Trumps other faults, such as a recent political change-of-heart and his many personal issues over the years -- Donald Trump does understand where the actual battle lines lie. His repeated disregard and dislike for the propaganda outlets called the 'news media', his brutal honesty, and his stated positions show a Populism that has not been seen in national politics for more than twenty years. This explains why many of us regard him as a breath of fresh air.

Elitists like Planned Abortionhood. That group helps to reduce the 'surplus population', as Ebenezer Scrooge once called it in Dickens' novel. Elitists like Obamacare, with the Death Panels poised to deny treatment to 'useless old people'. Elitists like Communism and/or Socialism, with its control over the masses and the tendency to gather wealth at the top. Elitists like big government and fascist police-state controls, to better keep the populace from rising up in anger. Elitists like illegal alien invasion (and have encouraged it not only in America, but other European nations), because that form of invasion dilutes national identities, erases borders, and leads the world to a 'nationless' global government. Elitist are using Islam's threat to increase the police-state tactics in nation after nation. Elitists like Agenda 21, with the stated purpose of herding us into vast cities, where we can be more efficiently worked and better controlled.

If you have signed up on the sides of the Elitists, you have many choices, foremost among those being Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton. If you are on the side of the people, your choices can only be Ted Cruz or Donald Trump.

Last election cycle, I considered supporting Rick Perry, even knowing the doofus that he is, for one simple reason: He went to Texas A&M. As long as the Ivy League is allowed to continue to provide all the top officials, the game will never change.

The social and political ideology of globalists and their agenda is the opposite of what is America and American. American voters keep getting in the way of progress by voting in politically incorrect Americans, so I think they want to bring us down, economically and politically and they might want to start a civil war. Globalists have taken over both parties now.

They are race baiting and even openly suggesting Blacks and Hispanics murder whites and cops. They are defiantly invading the nation with third worlders who are not the nicest people on earth to overwhelm our society and government social programs. They release foreign violent criminals into our society. They no longer shy away from acting as if there is no rule of law or constitutional Republic.

It the globalists against America. It is the new world order and America’s form of government and traditional culture does not fit in. Does Trump really understand what is planned and being carried out by the elite of America and Europe? Does Cruz?

I thought that was a main feature of the show, and a very funny one — suddenly here’s this millionaire stuck with all of these people and his money is no good. He tries to buy everything and everyone but it never works. Hilarity ensues.

It does not take 60 votes to REFUSE to pass things. But then, oh no, shutting down the government, yikes!

You’ve nailed it, Laz. I agree wholeheartedly with your article, and most especially with the last sentence. I’m hoping and praying Cruz will be our next president. But I’m still getting a huge charge out of the Donald!

Laz, I luv ya, bro..but I am proposing a new rule for FR..it is henceforth FORBIDDEN to use "Trump" and "Reagan" in the same sentence, even for purposes of negative comparison. Some things should just never be..

Donald has thrown caution to the wind. He nt only Tells It Like It Is, he doubles down when the beard-scratching pundits shriek in horror.

Rush noted — The Donald (and others are starting to follow, witness Huckabee’s 100% accurate statement about obozo leading Israel to the oven doors) refuses to follow the MSM script: say something that someone somewhere might take offense to. Which of course requires donning a hairshirt and doing kneeling penance before the self-appointed gods of All Things Civil.

Not the Donald — the only reason he hasn’t kicked these pundits in the nuts is they are afraid to get near him.

Well done! You can’t win the fight if you don’t even know who you are fighting.

Trump seems willing to shake things up. So does Cruz. Not so sure about ANY of the other milquetoast candidates.

Unfortunately, it may already be too late to turn things around even with a “win” at the ballot box. Which begs the question: Is there still time, or has the die already been cast?

Personally, I think we are past the point of no return. Something wicked this way comes.

Be ready.

I agree with your post 100%. The “elites” now run our country. More than just the government, they also run commerce, industry and finance. Oh sure, the “elites” have always done that. But there are three big differences from the past:

1. They have grown government, primarily the bureaucracy, that it has become so pervasive, intrusive and powerful that it no longer recognizes any restraint on its power;

2. The “elites” have become a separate caste. Entry into the elite was once based on merit, and could be accomplished. Now it is more hereditary. The children of these people all attend the same private schools from kindergarten; the schools our children and grandchildren will never get near. Thus, their children are guaranteed spots running government, commerce, industry and finance in the next generation.

3. The “elites” are now completely international, or globalized. The Wall Street bankers and top K Street lobbyists are much more comfortable schmoozing with their counterparts in Shanghai, Tokyo, London, Berlin, Moscow and Riyadh than they are hanging out with serfs like us.

Good article, Laz.

I agree with you.

It has been the elitists vs. the little people for some time now.

I would say it begun with our defeat in Vietnam, had a setback with Reagan, and reappeared with Bush I-Clinton.

The elites successfully kept the con game running until we tried to impeach Bill Clinton in Dec. 1998, and the House actually did that.

The elites then showed their true colors to keep Clinton in office and beat back the righteous indignation of the little people. They and their lapdogs, the media, tried everything to make anyone who stood for the truth, to be idiots and whackjobs—starting with Linda Tripp, etc.

On Feb, 12, 1999 we were shown who was really in charge and what they stood for—and it was not truth, justice and the American Way. Trent Lott and his corrupt GOP Senate could not bring themselves to remove Clinton from office. They would not even look at the evidence.

We muddled along until Sept. 11, 2001, the day of terrorism.

That changed the landscape in America. At first, we rallied as a country—then we were told Islam is a religion of peace, and we had to continually give up freedom to obtain security.

A massive security apparatus has been put in place, exceeding that of WW2, which in the wrong hands, could become a weapon against the American people.

Then in 2008, we had both sides playing to beat America by installing a cipher as President, with the active support of the opposing candidate.

We had a financial meltdown, the origins of which were never fully revealed or explained, but the looting of America had begun.

In the hands of an anti-American administration, America has been paralysed financially, morally and spiritually.

Until 2015, when the actual contempt for normal Americans by DC from BOTH parties, AND the Supreme Court, has reached a new high.

The plan is to divide us, to weaken us, and to loot us.

The plans are over 6.5 years along and there is more to come.

The possibilities have probably been gamed out already by the elites, who plan to profit even if there is a civil war and America splits up.

We have been betrayed by the political class, which has robbed us and lied to us for the last 25 years.

These elites hold us in contempt, and wish to control us—through healthcare, gun control, welfare, cultural rot, etc.

The people must return to their spiritual roots in the Word of God, and reclaim their unique heritage as the defenders of freedom in the world.

For once the flame of freedom is extinguished, it will almost impossible to reignite.

It has only taken a little over fifty years, but America is systematically being reduced to a controlled, slavelike population, incapable of fighting back, and ignorant of why America is exceptional and worth fighting for.

The Iran deal is but the latest revelation of how far the elites intend to enslave us to our new masters.

May God yet extend His mercy to us, and like Sampson, give us a chance to redeem ourselves.
