(CNN)In the first national telephone poll since Donald Trump earned rebukes from Republican leaders over his comments about Senator John McCain's military service, the real estate mogul has increased his support among GOP voters and now stands atop the race for the party's nomination.
The new CNN/ORC Poll finds Trump at 18% support among Republicans, with former Florida governor Jeb Bush just behind at 15%, within the poll's margin of error.
They are joined at the top of the pack by Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, with 10% support among Republicans and Republican-leaning independents who are registered to vote. Trump's backing has climbed 6 points since a late-June poll, while support for Bush and Walker has not changed significantly.

This issue has been going on for years...Years ago, Congress voted to shut the border...It was a done deal...But yet it never happened...
They are all going to sit in the debate and claim we need to control the border...There are 2 who will see it thru...That's it...And Walker is not one of them...

I am going to vote for him here in the Georgia Primary ballot if he is on it. About the only other one I might vote for would be Walker but he isn’t my first choice.
Call me antiquated and suspicious but watching Scott reminds me of Eddie Haskell on Leave it to Beaver TV of olden days. He’s got that little smirk sometimes that just tells me don’t be so sure he is what he’s telling you.
Regardless, I will not ever vote for Jeb Bush or any of the others I’ve not mentioned. Even on the general election...

By most Trumps reasoning... if Bernie Sanders came out tomorrow strongly against illegal aliens and pledged to round them all up with the military and deport them all the day after being elected, they would suddenly start supporting the Socialist Bernie Sanders!
Because that's basically what all the Trump supporters are saying. Nothing else that Trump believes matters, because he is tuff on immigration.

But I do like how he’s shaking things up and bringing certain issues to the table, and I believe in the long-run he will wind up helping Cruz.

Yes you are correct. If Sanders came out with that position he would get America’s support in a heart beat. You underestimate the invasion and it’s immediate effects on Americans. If you truly believe what you are saying wouldn’t it be more advantageous to encourage the candidates you support to take a harder stance on the issue as opposed to coming here and being condescending towards people that are appreciating Trump?
There is a group called Voices of the Frontier, except they use the spanish translation, operating in Wisconsin to help the tens of thousands of illegal aliens that Wisconsin has colonize that state. The illegal alien inundation has reached everywhere.
That group apparently thinks the frontier of Mexico is in Wisconsin.
