Thats what I do.
And I have my CCW in hand before the officer makes contact.
It takes him about 30 seconds to know that I am the good guy.

Y’all probably both know, but any html you post in Reply 1 will NOT automatically be hotlinked. The same link in post #2 worked just fine.

But for whatever reason, it won’t hotlink in post 1 unless you specifically add in the html coding with the < and > and stuff like that.

Yep. That goes back to the “you don’t have to prove you are innocent.. the onus is on the state to prove your guilt”

“Then came the 60’s that said “NO AUTHORITY” and those bastards are now in the WH and congress.”

And those little trained socialist, narcissists and Marxists also made it into the police force and into positions on the Court and now have complete control of all our institutions-—the Courts were the last defense.

Now, we have total Rule of Oligarchy-—where there is no Justice (Virtue), no Truth/God, no Reason (Natural Laws/Constitution) and absolutely no Freedoms.

We have a fascist system now which determines what you are allowed to “think” and say, we are guilty and searched first with no trial, and those who don’t march in goose-step with the State’s dictates, are destroyed financially and politically or killed. The totalitarian control of MSM and of the “allowed” speech is right out of Goebbels’ Diary.

We have to take back “education” of our children and not allow the State to program the minds of our children which destroys critical thinking and Virtue and we need to throw out the Hollywood sodomite machine which programs dysfunction and emasculation and promotes vice 24/7 to our young so it shapes their Reality and desires (to satanic ethics/nihilism).

More conservatives have children by far——but we give their minds to the Satanists while we work and slave so they can tax us to pay for the indoctrination of our own children. We need to Wake Up America!!!!!!

....all THREE of ‘em!

This is a public service announcement, with guitars!!

Sometimes, dfw I get the impression we’re close in age based on our cultural references. Or at the very least we both like the same bands.

I think it may have something to do with other html that is associated with the orginal
article posting. Once you get to replies they apparently operate differently.

I am 63, while growing up my father told me, “son, you maybe right, but you might be dead right.”

Alas you can not argue a moot point in court. You must first assert your rights on the road and be arrested to argue the finer points of the constitution in a court of law.

The ultimate question for one is is it worth it. Is it worth being arrested to win in a court of law. The left has done a good job of getting people and SUPPORTING financially people who are willing to do what it takes to get in a court of law to try to make their points.

Of course as someone in this thread said, dead is dead, so one is best to make their point, accept the arrest and then win in court. Finding that line can be tough with police who claim to be afraid for their lives at the drop of a hat and start shooting.

I've been stopped numerous times over the last fifty years. Several times I was stopped because the lawman wanted to check out my ride, all smiles and innocent. When I was young, my car was souped up and loud. Even had a police chief looking over my engine (during a police block where they pulled me aside). But there were other times when I was confronted and had done nothing wrong. That's the baiting where they ask you "Do you know what you did wrong?". There were a few times after I denied any wrong-doing that they falsely wrote me a ticket; I fought those and got them dismissed by a judge, but the bad cops get away with harassing folks.

Blogs hadn't been invented yet.. but I could tell he was thinking about it.

Thinking about blogging about how him and his buddies kicked my ignorant 20-odd year old ass.

I didn't even want to fight.. I was just mouthy and then stumbled against the wrong cop.

It was on like Donkey Kong.. 'gunner went down. Hard.

Learned from it though..

I’ve been pulled over once, and I was so terrified I could barely speak. I think the cop felt sorry for me. He was very nice.

Exactly.

Nothing.

No rights.

Worth repeating because it is true.

What are y’all doing and where do y’all live to be encountering cops all the time? I’ve been pulled over 3 times. Must be a northern thing.

“It takes him about 30 seconds to know that I am the good guy.”

And if you can, get out of your car and start walking towards his, usually with your drivers license in hand or be in the process of pulling it out of your wallet. You have to act fast or he'll get on the loudspeaker and tell you to go back to your car. Luckily, they always call in the license number of a car they are pulling over and that takes a few seconds.

If you can make it past the end of your car, and have your license in hand, he or she will frequently let you bring it to their window and then tell you to get back in your car.

He'll run your name for warrants, put on his hat and walk to the window of your car. If he sees nothing suspicious, you have about an 80% chance of a getting warning. A retired cop friend of mine gave me this plan over twenty years ago and my last five encounters with traffic cops have ended with warnings.

And far as what rights I have to and could assert and throw in his face - I'll take no ticket anytime - thank you.

When anyone can be forced to bake a cake for someone else then no one has any rights in the face of this government.

But it is worth noting that today's "authority" is not the same as from back in the 1960's.

Very true! The cops today are like (in some number of cases, don't want to paint with too broad of a brush) the ones in A Clockwork Orange...what happened?

Having said that however, I must admit that in most encounters I have had with the police they have been fair and, if not courteous, at least not nasty...with one exception...when I was going through a divorce and my bat-s*h*it crazy ex-wife got a restraining order against me...I set up a time with my lawyer to go back to my former place of residence to gather my things...the police had to accompany me; they treated me like the worst sort of criminal while they laughed and joked with the ex...it was humiliating. I registered a complaint, but I doubt if anything ever came of it. This was Thornton, CO.
