For Christians in the Middle East, 2014 has been a catastrophe. The most wrenching stories have come from Iraq, where the nascent Islamic State (ISIS or ISIL in news reports) has savagely persecuted ancient Christian communities, including Assyrians, Chaldeans, and Syrian Orthodox. Iraqi Christians have declined rapidly in number since the first Gulf War in 1991, but survivors long believed they could maintain a foothold around Mosul...

And our leaders are worrying about whether Donald was mean to McCain.
Don’t worry. Once the U.N. gets involved....
The N Y Times should have the good graces to refrain from reporting anything about Christianity, in that it will be doing it’s best to destroy it here.
I was going to use one of the other articles on this subject, but surprisingly, the NY Times reported the holocaust. The ones dying were the ones that didn’t believe ISIS would really kill them.
Yes, by the tone, you can tell the writer was only typing with one hand...
Save Thy people, O Lord,
and bless Thine inheritance.
Grant victory to Thy Church over her enemies,
and protect Thy people by Thy Holy Cross!
Well put.
IF christians in all the middle east didn’t know what to expect.. after more than a thousand years of islamic activities... they will never know..
Must be what they have been smoking... to remain so dull
and not be armed experienced and ready to repell the murderous muslims..
-OR- just simply LEAVE...
It’s NOT like the muslims have not been widely advertising their intentions for 1400+ years.. it took Hitler to educate the Jews..
I didn’t mean to give you a hard time. Hope you didn’t take it that way. I understand what you’re saying too.
Oh! How nice of the NY Slimes to NOW notice! Bless their shriveled, little hearts.
At the same time martyrs are being killed, thousands of muslims are coming to Christ in every muslim country.
I refer you to:

For a broader examination of Christ appearing to muslims in dreams and visions. It is amazing.
Yes the Church has always grown under persecution. Glory to God
It’s probably why Islam is trying to eradicate it now. Too many converts.
If the NYT had its way, there would be no more Christianity in America. That’s why this story has been so long coming - the disappearance of Christianity in the Middle East didn’t register with them as something bad.
It was an interesting article. Not a bad report. That doesn’t stop what I said from being true.
The New York times won’t be defending Christians here. The people who refused to make cakes for Homosexual weddings will have no defense at the Times.
Those who refuse to do business with homosexuals will see their businesses closed and their personal lives destroyed.
I will be handled differently than in Iraq. But ISIS or no ISIS, the end result will be the same here.
Christianity in the United States is in for a massive purge.
The “tone” the Times chose to take is to count Christian massacres since the “US invasion” of the middle east. They can’t get past “Bush’s fault” and ignore the gun runner islamist in the White House
Bush didn’t help matters.
