Well, it's her lawn. If she wants to drive on it I guess that's her call. I'm a little surprised the old girl is allowed to drive herself around. On a side note, I do think the reference to the stolen home video was a little low class.

Re The “Nazi salute”: I read once that before the rise of Hitler that US school children saluted the flag with the extended hand when said the Pledge of Allegiance. When the Nazis adopted it, the pledge was changed to be a hand over the heart.

The Clintons and the Obamas do not drive cars. Haven't for years.
The Queen of England? She's a bit more like regular people.

The Queen is quite an independent sort. During the war, she was a motor car mechanic. And yes, a Jag fits her well. I believe this story and I am sure that she waved after she drove around the commoners.

Despite diverting around them, the Queen, who is said to be furious over the leaking of a home movie of herself as a child giving an apparent Nazi salute,Well that was completely random and irrelevant to the story.

She’s only a bit older than my mother who terrorizes the back roads of Maryland’s Eastern Shore in her Miata that she purchased 26 years ago (first year).

The royals love to drive themselves. The Queen is a mechanic. Check out the movie The Queen for verification. Diana was a sensational driver who would still be alive today if she had taken the wheel rather than that drunk frog. Anne is also a good driver despite her many traffic violations. I don’t know about Charles.
Let’s put our royalty (the prez, the senate and the house) back in the driver’s seat. Get rid of the limos!

Interesting that someone can’t wait to get to the Church of England. I had read hardly anyone attends those churches.

Most probably her security force has said if you drive you will not stop for anyone. At least that’s what I would say. Stopping the vehicle puts her at risk, assasination, bombs, kidnapping.

The Queen was a very young girl and her crazy uncle was getting her to do it. Plus, in 1933 the Nazi coup had just happened and they hadn't yet revealed the true extent of their evil to the rest of the world.
Now, that crazy uncle of hers actually was a Nazi sympathizer.

"But when she found her path blocked by the young family, she clearly felt she did not have time to wait for them to get out of the way." Unnecessarily snarky.

If Hillary is Elected, the Queen has promised to come here and give Hillary Driving Lessons.
After that, she will be meeting with Clinton’s Cabinet and other Administration Officials to show them the proper way to Salute America’s new Queen.

The royal family had German relatives who were Nazi party members, and plenty of army officers. Its as they say, “messy.”
