Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush says he's "fine" with transgender people openly serving in the military as long as it doesn't compromise morale, Yahoo News reports.
Bush's view echoing that of Defense Secretary Ashton Carter, the Washington Post has reported marks the first time he has commented on the issue.
And it comes in the wake of the Defense Department decision this week to issue two directives bringing the Pentagon closer to rescinding its ban on open service by transgender people.
Carter ordered a 6-month review to examine how allowing transgenders to serve openly in the military would affect policy and military readiness, and called the Department of Defense transgender ban "outdated."

Does Jeb have a conservative position on any issue? Seems like he’s Hillary with a dude’s voice.

That's a MAN, baby!
Jeb is invoking the Mississippi election strategy of Thad Cochran. That is, to appeal to the Democratic voter who will crossover and vote for Bush in the Republican primary.
Very well put. That certainly simplifies things a bit
Look at that male aggression.
FUJB!!
The politician in him does not want to say anything that has the slightest potential to cause any conceivable voter to be concerned about his “leanings.”
The retort to his dripping pandering? “How could it not affect morale?”
As CIC does he even have an opinion?
True. Bruce is actually a homosexual.
Why the military accepts gays and trannies into the service is insanity. Why else would the Joint Chiefs and political aminals accept certifiable behavior as normal?
(The same thing applies with Ted Cruz but with significantly less impact, what with Cruz acting recently as more of a professional politician -- basing much of what he says and does on political calculations than trusting his conservative instincts. Hopefully this perception won't continue with Cruz.)
Should this be an accurate attribution, it means Jeb Bush is either a liar, an idiot, or a politician (but I repeat myself)!
That got me too, the issue of morale.
You can be damn sure morale will be negatively affected. Then what would a President Jeb do????
What a satanic irrational worldview he has-——removed from Truth/God and our Constitution-—Individiual Natural Rights ONLY come from God-—not the “right” to mutilate self and others which are satanic ethics.
When did Right Reason and Virtue get removed from our “Justice” (virtue) system and replaced with a Vice promotion system when Montesquieu stated that ALL Just Law has to promote “public virtue” in a Republic.
It figures-—his pa probably orchestrated the Franklin Cover-up in the 80s and killings to keep it quiet with his CIA connections. Check out the Satanic cult which lusted after the boys literally in the White House (google is sometimes your friend for now). it is like what the skull and bones does in their Bohemian Grove parties—reminds me of Geffen and his boy toys being paraded at the White House and admired by that thing in the white house.
Jeb Bush is fine with anything. Just nominate him already.
Of course if one is serious about “as long as it does not compromise morale”, Bush the Lesser’s statement is equivalent to “I’m opposed to ‘transgender’ persons serving in the military.”
My dissertation advisor, who was a man of the left, but liked to annoy his fellow-leftists in ways FReepers would appreciate, expressed his opposition to homosexuals in the military by asking (straight male) proponents of the idea whether they’d want to serve on a submarine with one.
If one is really serious about not compromising morale there are serious limits on how much ‘progressive’ social engineering can be done in the military. Of course these are based on the immutability of human nature, a fact denial of which is foundational to the whole ‘progressive’ enterprise.
Another nonsensical answer babbled in Jebberish...
Arribe arbusto, yo no tiene nada.

Sheesh.
5.56mm
No idea...
