Donald Trump Thinks Rick Perry Should Take ‘IQ Test’ Before Presidential Debate
The Wrap ^ | July 17, 2015 | Jordan Chariton

Another day, another Donald Trump doozie.

The presidential candidate, who’s soared to No. 1 among Republican presidential candidates in the latest Fox News poll, attacked opponent Rick Perry’s intelligence on Twitter Thursday.

“.@GovernorPerry just gave a pollster quote on me. He doesn’t understand what the word demagoguery means,” Trump tweeted.

He followed up with a proposal: “.@GovernorPerry failed on the border. He should be forced to take an IQ test before being allowed to enter the GOP debate.”

Trump’s tirade against the former Texas governor came after Perry tweeted: .@realDonaldTrump-ism not conservatism but a toxic mix of demagoguery and nonsense.”

Trump also tweeted his ire at Senator John McCain, who was the Republican nominee for president in 2008.

“The thousands of people that showed up for me in Phoenix were amazing Americans. @SenJohnMcCain called them “crazies” — must apologize!” he tweeted.

Trump then insulted McCain’s intelligence: “.@SenJohnMcCain should be defeated in the primaries. Graduated last in his class at Annapolis — dummy!”

I’m with Huff Po on this one; he belongs in the entertainment world, not the political world.

And so would Reagan, with that logic. What do you have against Reagan?

Says the man who constantly repeats himself and uses the word “Stupid” in nearly every sentence.

It is both fun and funny — I hope I don’t regret this later but I love the way he’s shaking everything up and changing the conversation.

I'm thinking that ensured McCain will not be reelected in AZ.

While his hold was tenuous, he's now certain to fall.

Come this time next year McCain will be singing Trump's praises and looking for photo ops with him.

The Republican party is just as much the opposition party as the Democrat party is at this point. I mean really, who can tell the difference anymore?

This is what Perry said that Trump responded to:

I thought Trump was responding to this...

Perry lied about Trump and he is basically lied about all Americans who are saying that SOME ILLEGAL ALIEN Mexicans are rapists and bad people.

Perry deserved Trump's response.

That is one thing. But given he is a liberal on so many issues, including socialist healthcare he does not deserve the Republican nomination.

So a state governor is responsible not only for the US border, but also to pass legislation. I thought that was the role of the House and Senate?

" Instead of beating each other up why not the opposing party?"

Isn't bashing McCain bashing the "opposing party"?

OH, so close. Just four people outside the money. Patton graduated 1 militarily, but really struggled with Dyslexia.

Didn’t stop him from learning to speak fluent French.

This is what Perry said in that regard:

Donald Trump continues to demonstrate his fundamental misunderstanding of border security. Make no mistake – border security is a federal responsibility, but when I met with President Obama last year and it became clear he would not act, I told him if he would not secure the border, Texas would. Rather than thanking Texas for stepping into a gap it shouldn’t have to fill, Mr. Trump has made clear that he believes the states should fend for themselves on border security. Not only is this wrong, it perpetuates the same failed policies that have left our southern border porous and vulnerable.
