Jacob Pushinsky was a member of the Army Jr. ROTC program. On Saturday he refused to give his bike to 14 year-old Derry Sanders Jr. anad was shot dead.
Quiet, on-time, just a great young American, words used by teachers and school administrators who knew 18-year-old murder victim, Jacob Pushinsky. The rising senior at East High, was a committed member of the Army Jr. ROTC program at the school. Lt. Col. Joe Russell just retired as the Sr. Army Instructor at East High. “Jacob was a wonderful young man, never caused anybody any problems, this is a tremendous tragedy,” said Russell.
Jacob was known for riding his bicycle everywhere. The tragic shooting in what police say was a robbery over that very bicycle, claimed Jacob’s life. City councilman and East High teacher Bob Merski had Jacob in his homeroom. “Jacob was a very good kid, very quiet…always punctual, always the first one at the door for homeroom every morning. He loved ROTC. He would wear that military outfit and he was impeccably dressed every day, his shoes were shined, every button was buttoned, he was just a quiet kid and a good kid,” Merski said.
14 year old Derry Sanders Jr. was charged with criminal homicide, murder, recklessly endangering another person, robbery with inflict of serious bodily injury, possession of an instrument of a crime, firearms not to be carried without a license, and possession of a firearm by a minor all in connection to the homicide of Jacob Pushinsky.

All those charges were a waste of time and to make the public feel good. The reality of the matter is that he is a juvenile and not a thing legally will happen to him. Oh, he may get 30 days in jail, but that will probably be a blessing to him. He will get three hot meals to eat a day, for free. A soft bed in which to sleep. Air conditioning and some do gooders who believe they can change the World by helping this falsely accused child get off free to have sexual innercourse with.

We have an old microwave here at work - it just does not have the power it used to, so things take longer to cook.
All of us know to add an extra minute or two.
The other day I put a cup of cold coffee in it and turned it up to 3+ minutes, as usual. After the buzzer went off, but right before I opened the door, that cup of coffee exploded!
I learned that that old microwave still has a bit of power - I could have been seriously burned just for expecting it to act the same way every time.

He’s clearly scared, hurt, confused, has no idea WHY he’s in trouble. Probably because he can’t comprehend he’s done something wrong. Or, perhaps, that he was arrested for it.

I take your point, however, I see no reason to believe conservatives will gather the energy and courage and willingness to spend. There will be no microwave like energy surge.
Conservatives shot their tea party wad and the tyrant killed it with the IRS. There has been nary a whimper. Conservatives accept the most blatant misuse of governmental power in the history of the Republic with no reaction worth a damn.
The truth is that the only way to avoid something like this is to not be there when it happens.
