Maybe they are...I’m not sure. If so, then it’s definitely a misguided solution searching desperately for a problem to solve.

This would be a good time to whip out a “lesser of two evils” ping list. Man! I'm sure glad Nancy Pelosi isn't Speaker!

Boehner flies under the white flag of surrender. It’s his flag of choice.

I was in Gettysburg last week for the first time and I was surprised that only a handful of marked graves exist there for the Confederate soldiers. Most CSA troops were thrown in shallow unmarked graves or temporarily buried and moved out a few years after burial. A handful are still there and should be honored with a CSA flag that they died fighting for.
As far as what that clown boner wants to do, I would not be concerned. He never accomplishes anything he publicly says he will get done.

You HONOR the MEN who fought and died under that BANNER even if you don’t like the banner.
They were still AMERICANS.

Why is he spending time thinking about and commenting on this? They’ve got a d*** mess up there and THIS is what he concerns himself with? What a waste of our money.

I guess you didn’t get the memo, but the feckless GOP Congress critters are wanting to ban ALL Confederate flags from national cemeteries, including those small ones placed on Confederate soldiers’ graves, their families be damned.

Has anyone asked any Confederate re-enactors their opinion about the flag opposition? You might get some language you haven’t yet heard plus a lot of actual American history in a lesson you won’t forget.
With this insane push, are re-enactments next to feel the spear of liberal aggression?

“The flag that should fly in National cemetaries is the Stars and Stripes.”
Would it be ok to acknowledge the confederacy in, say, the Confederate Cemetery in Fredericksburg, VA?
Apparently not, because the National Park Service has removed that one and others from it’s website.
The NPS should immediately turn those cemeteries over to those who care about our national heritage, since they can’t seem to give a damn.
As for you, why do you think these cemeteries have been preserved for 150 years?
If American Soldiers that fought for the Confederacy cannot be acknowledged, then who will give a damn when the political winds turn against Arlington Cemetery? Think that’s far fetched? I don’t.
To: Timber Rattler
Mr Boehner, could you please remind this simple voter... what kinds of regimes and leaders are the ones who seek to ban symbols, rewrite history, and force people to change their preferences to comply with the will of others? It’s been done many times in history. Please, take a moment, and let us know how just, how successful, and how peaceful these regimes were.
