WASHINGTON Republicans who started off viewing Donald Trump as an amusing sideshow are starting to fret that the real-estate billionaire is becoming the main event.
Since he defied skeptics and launched his presidential bid last month, Trump has rocketed in the polls, dominated media coverage and helped steer the debate on issues.
I dont know that he even knows how far he takes this, former New York GOP Rep. Thomas Reynolds, who is close to GOP candidate and ex-Gov. George Pataki, told The Post. He has the wherewithal . . . He has put together a pretty wholesale ground force in New Hampshire, and that has to be taken seriously.

You really meant to say “If Trump builds it they will NOT come”....right?
He's not a conservative and never has been. He's as establishment as they come. Dig beneath what the media tells.
Look no further than post 2 on this thread. That guy's been soiling his panties over Trump all week.
You really support Trump? He's never running anyway. If he did the media has enough info on him Hillary could get past 70%.
He pretends to run every four years. He registers whatever party is convenient and says whatever he has to. He is a long time big government addict.
Cruz is my candidate. He has the vision and understanding.
Trump is just pissed off — as we all are.
If Trump gets the nomination, we will vote for him but have a mess to follow.
Trump coming to be inaugurated will be like Lincoln to the dems.
They will rebel.
California will be the South Carolina and its coast will be Sumpter.
Hint: He's already filed to do so.
Try to keep up.
If Trump is so anti-establishment answer me one question: Why did he endorse Romney in 2012.
Romney is not a conservative no matter what excuses you make. Trump is in the Romney camp.
What is interesting is Trump is focusing his fire on the Mexican government. This mutes some of the inane remarks about him being anti-Mexican. He is laying the lame for the criminal mess at the feet of Bansna republics and the inane sanctuary cities.
Trump has never been happier in his life. He is getting the thing he wants more than anything in life.
If there ever was a candidate who was his own man, Trump comes closest. He is totally self made. Never had a boss in his entire adult life. Is he a perfect conservative? Is there such a thing? They all have faults, small or big.
What voters must do is determine who meets their priorities the best. My priority in 2016 is to stem the inflow of democrat voters disguised as illegal and legal immigrants who are criminals or sucking on welfare dollars.
Cruz and a whole lot of Republicans endorsed Romney.
Pardon me. I am thick-headed. I don’t get Seinfeld. Your post flew totally over my head semantically. “The establishment is over the moon about this?” You might as well have told me “the lasagna is in the refrigerator.” Please explain. What does “over the moon” mean?
“They have figured out how to con the people who were resisting them?” This must be the they they say when they say they. No? Please explain. Who are “they” and “them?”
Help me out here. I don’t mind being a little grasshopper for a tad. Amused by Trump, but not convinced, if you want to know. Thanks in advance in the event you care to reply.
Yes, just what is needed to give amnesty it's final push!
Quit hi-jacking this thread for CS
Who cares what you think!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The pic is from when he built the skating rink in NYC about 30 yrs ago. That was what my comment was about.
I support Cruz but I want Trump to cockfight Bush with Cruz coming through unscathed.
I think Cruz means it when it comes to conservatism, as for Trump he said one thing in the past (Pro-Choice) like Romney did, now Trump calls himself Pro-Life.
Trump did give lots of money to Dems even more than to Reps like rich liberal Reps do in my town.
I also suspect Trump could be cutting up Jeb so he’s easy pickings for Hillary.
Just like that rich guy Perot ripped up Jeb’s father for Bill.
Something smells here, but I don’t want Jeb Bush and if Trump takes Jeb out without getting the nomination, I can handle that as a good thing.
