JANUARY 2015
First he states he is in support of Abortion for Rape, Incest and Health of the Mother.
Then Trump was asked about a abortion by a woman being pregnant, and not from rape or incest, and Trump answered that it depends on how far along the baby is.
It depends when
INTERVIEWER: So say a woman is pregnant, and it is not in any of those exceptions [rape/incest]categories, and she chooses to have an abortion TRUMP: it depends when, it depends when

If you are believing that about Senator Cruz, you don’t know Cruz.
At the minimum, the SCOTUS judges he would nominate would be worlds better than the SCOTUS judges that “The Donald” would nominate.
Probably. As I stated, I am still behind Cruz. But I would vote for Trump over Jeb, Walker, Rubio, Rand, Huckabee, etc.
At least Trump is not sweeping the nation’s problems under the rug.

Notice how Cruz is backing Trump on his comments? Hint hint.
Until Trump has a real and complete change of heart on the social issues, i.e. Abortion and Gay Marriage, in my opinion, he's not fit from a conservative, and especially a Christian perspective to be POTUS.
And even if he were to come out swinging on both Abortion and the Gay Marriage issue, he still is lacking in his knowledge of the Constitution.
I'm not interested in someone whose positions on social issues are still evolving.
Cruz is head and shoulders above Trump in terms of both the Social issues and knowledge and adherence to the Constitution.
Cruz as POTUS and MAYBE Trump as V.P.

That much is true and he is very useful for that purpose.

it has to be in one of those 3 categories
Why would somebody post and not put the entire quote up?

remember Trump’s treatment of his wife Marla and her unplanned (by him) pregnancy
at the time it was said she gave up her marriage rather than abort the baby
maybe this was just her version of events, but I remember

That much is true and he is very useful for that purpose. I have said all along, his having brought the issue of immigration to the fore has been a good thing. But given he is a lifelong liberal democRAT, any serious consideration of the man for the Republican nomination is folly.

I agree.
It is frightening how many Freepers, knowing this, are willing to sweep that under the rug.
So much for fidelity to conservative principles.

That's a substantial deletion.

That was xzins' interpretation of what was said.
Logically, how could both statements by "The Donald" co-exist side by side?

The relevant question is: Mr. Trump, what sort of judges would you nominate for the US Supreme Court? You are right on the mark. Abortion as an historic issue, always came under the State Police Powers, the powers to deal with issues of health, safety & morals. It is by use of the Fourteenth Amendment against the States, that the Supreme Court has legalized abortion, de-legalized school prayer, ended checks on majority rule in State Legislative aportionments, forced "affirmative action," decreed "same sex marriage," etc., ad nausea.

See the next post, post #31.
I did not provide a transcript, just a snippet of what was said.
And the two statement CANNOT exist side-by-side.
Something is not right about what he(Trump) is saying .

Nawwwww.
That would be a perfect waste of the Leadership abilities of Ted Cruz, the fidelity to conservative principles, and a complete understanding and fidelity to the US Constitution by Ted Cruz.
Why put a "half-baked" sorta conservative like Donald Trump in the POTUS chair, when you already have a perfectly good, committed, and complete conservative like Ted Cruz ready, able, and available?

Trump is enjoying heaps of accolades on his position regarding illegals, I to support his aggressive approach, but there is at least one out severeal leadership traits he does not possess, he is not TRUSTWORTHY, you can’t fool all the people all the time.
There is much to like about Trump right now and there will be revealed much more not like forthcoming, what you see on the label is not what you will get when you open the package.

That’s possible, too.. Although I’m not sure Trump would take a back seat to anyone. Cruz/Trump is possible, some clashing on the issues but that isn’t unusual.

Q: Abortion even early in the pregnancy is murder to you?
Trump: No, what I'm saying is this. With caveats. Life of the mother, incest, and that's where I stand. And so I'm pro-life with the caveats. You have to have with the caveats. So it's pro-life, cause first time, this is the first time you have asked me this question (inaudible) So it's pro-life, but it's life of the mother -- very important, incest and, and rape.
Q: So say a woman is pregnant and it's not in any of those exception categories and she chooses to have an abortion?
Trump: It depends when. It depends when. It depends when.
