Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) on Wednesday said the nation owes an apology for slavery.
“As a nation — I don’t think as a president, but as a nation — we have got to apologize for slavery,” the 2016 Democratic presidential contender told host Joe Madison on Sirius XM’s “The Black Eagle.”
“As a nation we have got to apologize for slavery, and of course the president is the leader of the nation,” he added.
Sanders said that slavery had caused too much suffering to remain unaddressed.
“Obviously nobody in this generation was involved in slavery,” Sanders said.

If instead Sanders wants an apology given to the great grandchildren of slaves then blacks too can thank the children of white Americans who freed the slaves. Really, there’s more to this than one side. The Civil War was the bloodiest war in American history and it was fought to free the ‘ingrates’...
Then let’s put the civil war behind us... There’s plenty of pride and hurt feelings on both sides...

How about we get the Muslim slave traders and the black African tribes who sold their captives to these slave traders to be sent to the Americas apologize? In fact, our esteemed President has direct roots to that slave-trading crowd.
Did you ever wonder why there are so few Negros in the Middle Eastern countries when they all had lots of slaves, Bernie? The slaves sent to the Americas were the "lucky" ones. The slaves who went to the Muslim societies in the Middle East had their genitals removed before sale (no anesthesia in those days, Bernie) so they couldn't reproduce and be a threat to Muslim society. Of course, about 90% died of the operation but the remainder bought a nice price.
