Sunday on Meet the Press, Republican presidential candidate Sen. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)96% said Donald Trumps comments about Mexico sending its criminals to the Untied States were bold and brash, but put a needed focus on the many Republicans who support the Chamber of Commerce and Wall Streets cheap labor immigration push. I am a passionate advocate for legal immigrants, Cruz said. I am the son of an immigrant who came legally from Cuba and Ill tell you, from the day I started campaigning I traveled the state of Texas talking about how all of us, we are the children of those who risks everything for freedom, that immigrant experience of all of us is what makes us Americans, because we value in our DNA liberty and opportunity above all else. Now when it comes to Donald Trump, I like Donald Trump. hes bold, hes brash.

I’ve never heard Trump call himself a conservative.
I’ve heard him call himself an independent, but never a conservative.
And no, I don’t think he is a conservative.
However, I do agree with him on his border comments.
So did Cruz.
Sorry, Pam, but I will not read this essay until you have edited it. Lordy!
People can say anything they want.
Trump has also said that he would let any illegal who works hard enough have a road to legal status.

“I’m a conservative Republican” -Donald trump
How is Trump any different from the rest? Rubio pretends to be a conservative, Bush pretends, they all pretend.
I just don’t see how Trump is any different from the others.
“Univision also updated potential investors on the outlook for its legal battle with Donald Trump. He is suing the company for $500 million for breach of contract after it abruptly ended its association with the real-estate mogul, citing his recent controversial comments about Mexican immigrants. Univision expressed confidence it will prevail in court, dismissing the lawsuit as legally ridiculous.

Complaint by Donald Trump

I do agree about Cruz. He is the one in my mind. That being said, if Cruz is out, I’ll support Trump. In my mind he is better than the rest on the border issue and no worse than any of others on the other issues.
Well, since you have the power to make children out of adults with two words I’ll have to speak from the proverbial playground.
It’s naive to believe that perry can run for president without a boatload of money and that his opinions on immigration are or ever were shared by any group of citizens he claimed to represent
I’ll just go back to the swings now.
BTW whenever i write in pretending to be a good writer I try not to appear to sound like an Obama level self important narcissist
I agree somewhat...however the non-conservatism of the other GOP candidates is showing in full force. At least I think Trump would secure the border. A man with his ego couldn’t not finish the job after he has made that his number one issue.
He’s a liar, like all the rest, yes, but he is different from the rest in that he is lying directly to and specifically to conservative republicans, especially on Levin’s show.
Jeb Bush, for instance, has said that he intends to win the nomination without conservatives. He certainly is not telling conservatives things they want to hear in order to get their votes, and neither are most or all of the other ones.
In fact, they are pretty much putting their middle finger in the face of conservatives.
Trump is telling conservatives exactly what they want to hear and saying that he is one of them, and he is lying about both.
Keep up the excellent work, gents!
Isn’t that the exact same thing that Rubio is doing as well? How about Gardisil Perry? Same thing from Amnesty/Chamber of Commerce Walker. I guess I just don’t see any difference.
They are all the same.
I forgot to include the Shuckster and the Romney attack dog Santorum.
The point is....they all lie to conservatives.
In the sense maybe Bush is the most honest of all. Ha ha!
None of the other ones are on Mark Levin’s show telling his conservative republican audience that he/ she is a conservative republican.
Donald trump is specifically targeting conservatives by identifying with them and speaking to an issue which clearly animates them, illegal immigration.
The other candidates are specifically ignoring conservative republicans and the issue of illegal immigration and other issues which are important to them.
In fact, the only candidate even addressing with corrupt sewer that Washington is is Cruz.
Until we end the corruption in our government, which is so thorough and extensive it boggles the mind, nothing else even matters.
Cruz and Trump have the same position on illegal immigration. Cruz has had the same position since before he decided to run for President. He had the same position when the gang of 8 tried to pass amnesty.
Illegal immigration is my number one issue. Cruz is as solid.
I’m not sure what you mean by internationalist leanings. Cruz has fought and won Supreme Court cases defending our sovereignty against the U.N. and the World Court. He is for defunding the U.N.
Bush still isn’t honest. If he was, eh would simply identify as the left wing progressive illegal immigration zealot that he is.
But, that being said, he did not go on Levin’s show and identify as a conservative republican as Trump did, when Trump clearly is not and never has been.
As I said in another post, trump is an opportunist, and he is trying to close a deal.
“What makes trump worse than them is that he is specifically lying directly to conservatives in an attempt to illustrate himself as a conservative, which he is not, never has been and never will be.”
Perhaps...but he is also SMOKING OUT the establishment candidates that are, once again, trying to fool the base. Some of them may be gone very soon, and that will be a VERY GOOD THING for this party and this country.
Cruz gets it..he doesn’t play the game of the media baiting republicans to bash each other.
Yes, that is true, I won’t argue with that.
I will say that it is interesting and has been amusing to watch the GOPE candidates trip all over each other to condemn Trumps announcement day comments on illegal immigration which were proven correct by a single tragic incident in SF.
It is infuriating to me that this woman lost her life in order for some whore politician to potentially gain the vote of this illegal alien and others like him.
Our politicians are trading our lives for illegal votes, and that is disgusting beyond my ability to even describe what is disgusting.
Cool, we’re in synch then. Trump in 2015 (to clear the field), Cruz in 2016 to turn the country around.
