On the heels of several major corporations distancing themselves from Donald Trump's various business interests, the Republican presidential candidate admitted Saturday that he didn't think the corporate backlash to his inflammatory comments about Mexican immigrants would be "quite this severe."
"I knew it was going to be bad because I was told this. All my life I have been told this: If you are successful, you don't run for office," Trump said in an interview on Fox News, addressing the recent spate of businesses that have severed their relationships with his brand. "I didn't know it was going to be quite this severe, but I really knew it was going to be bad."
During his presidential campaign announcement last month, Trump emphasized the need to curtail immigration from the southern border and criticized Mexican immigrants for "bringing crime" and being "rapists."

"It seems like I'm sort of the whipping post because I bring it up. And I don't understand whether you are liberal or whether you are conservative or whether you are Republican, Democrat -- why wouldn't you talk about a problem?" Trump said Saturday. "The crime is raging. It's violent, and people don't want to even talk about it. If you talk about it, you are a racist. I don't understand it."

Illegal Invaders, because they are.
Immigrants are Invited, Invaders are not.
Trump isn’t costing “us” anything. Taking back the White House isn’t going to be achieved by running a herd of elephants (republicans) against an old cow (Hitlery). People can’t distinguish between the two parties anymore.
I want to know why Jeb Bush isn’t running on the same ticket with Hillary. I can’t tell them apart politically. If we are going to have kings and queens with inherited rights to the throne, by all means keep them together. It is cheaper in the long run.
Call me a disillusioned ex-republican. Everyone should be upset about Trump’s treatment by these companies. That is, those who understand the First Amendment and the Constitution.
....... Nah ..... it's a fundamental law of the Jungle. Show your weakness and OPFOR will exploit it and take you down. Trump revealed his weakness .... and so .... he is finished.
Declared bankruptcy something like 5 times? He has used the law to his own benefit so in that sense hes always been a politician. I wish i was being sarcastic.
He should have set his sights more realistically if he wanted an office. Mayor of New York has all the visibility he could want. If he proved himself there that would at least be a stepping stone.
cbs apparently doesn’t differentiate between legal immigrants and illegal invaders.
If he pulls out they’ll turn their guns on Cruz.
Also amnesty will then be a done deal. They’ll stick Trump’s head on a stake as an example and will dare anyone to stop them
Trump and the country are both at the Rubicon.
He needs to get some serious allies and soon.
Allies? The tax paying American people want to be his allies. It appears as though the master business man (which is exactly what a capitalistic republic needs to survive) is winning his battles in the court of public opinion which is where every issue is eventually settled. Let him have at it. Or maybe he’s a bought and paid for whipping post for the CHAMBER to take the heat off all the milquetoast metrosexual pubbies so they can sidestep all issues important to us until they are safe after election day. Only time will tell. At this point none of us armchair quarterbacks have a peephole view into the cloak room where the dizzy deals are made. We are in Kansas, Dorothy, tied up in the closet of the little RED school house.
“.... different people that drop Trump because Trump wants safety in the United States. If you think of it, what am I doing? I say let’s make our country safe, and people are offended. It’s incredible to me.”
reality check mr trump. welcome to the communist united states.
He SHOULD have announced as a Democrat, and he could have said the same thing, but he wouldn’t have lost what he’s lost.
I think Trump needs to roll out some lawsuits for the slander he is experiencing and the loss of money it has caused.
Or he’ll never actually file and run.
Like I posted, he needs to drag the media back through every steaming pile of journalistic malpractice they have committed for the last three decades. One by one. Rub their noses in every damn one. I could make a list off the top of my head. Candy Crowley would certainly be a stop on the way. As much as they would hate it they would film every second. I don’t care why he is running if he truly loved America he would do it.
Pay no attention to the fire burning in the corner look over here, look at me I’ll tell you the truth I’ll tell you what to see and hear. Trump is smoking out all of the feckless spineless GOP hopefuls who are more concerened with thier a##es in the race than the issues killing America. Good for him
Don’t tell me he did not know what he was going to get for speaking out like he has,now we will find out if the Tough persona of Trump is genuine or just a facade.
I hope he is up to the challenge, thanks also to my pick ,Ted Cruz, for standing up for the issue, and not caving like the crest of the phony cowards, this should Winnow the field of candidates
I think he will end up using it to uncover and bare even more of what hypocrisy the Left has been indulging in - he can afford the hits and isn't likely to give up w/o dealing our some "spite".
“Because he will DRIVE LibTards to the polls.”
In other words, no candidate can be truthful to the American people and win. If that is the case, we are done for.
Nobody does, I think it is in their style book.
If a shop keeper didn’t do what Al Capone said would it be called back lash?.
Media is a mafia for the loony left.
