Upset over its abrupt cancellation, “Dukes of Hazzard” fans are demanding the corporate parent of TVLand immediately restore the iconic program to its daily schedule.
Supporters of the show have been flocking to the “Stop Banning Dukes of Hazzard” Change.org petition, with signatures increasing at a rate of thousands per hour. In just an hour of monitoring its progress, the Media Equalizer watched its total number rise from 25,000 to 33,000, already close to reaching its stated goal of 35,000. (1:33pm update: total over 40,000)
It was initiated by Donald Covell of Coldwater, Michigan, who said in the description that “‘The Dukes’ was about family values, fighting corruption, helping friends, neighbors and even strangers, no matter what color they were. There were multiple episodes where they helped people of colors other than ‘white’, and it even had a black sheriff that appeared often, who was respected and feared more then the sheriff of Hazzard.”

Perhaps they can get Lucas or Spielberg to digitally change the confederate battle flag into an ISIS battle flag. And the Dukes can shoot arrows with wallkie talkies tied to them. .....and never shoot first.

It’s just as stupid to demand that someone host your favorite TV show as it is to demand that someone bake you a cake for a gay wedding. I think they would have better results if they canceled their cable en masse, or petitioned a different station to consider showing it. MeTV shows lots of old tv shows on local channels. No charge.
And the cars horn can play Rap......
Hopefully, it will be picked up by another network, i.e., MeTV, UP-TV or INSP.
..... FReepers should mobilize to sign the petition to smear egg all over TV-Land and WB’s collective politically correct face. BTW .... WB pulled the licensing of DoH merchandise.
I’ve watched a lot of episodes of “The Walton’s” lately, and I’ve noticed they have the Confederate flag in the school classroom. I wonder if those episodes will disappear?
DoH portrayed politicians in a bad light. Cops too. The govt dont like that kind of propaganda. TSA likely shut it down.
