COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Ohio Gov. John Kasich, who's spent the year testing his scrappy political style and pragmatic policy
positions around the country, plans to formally enter the 2016 presidential race July 21.

The two-term governor, who leads one of the nation's premier swing states, is expected to formally join the crowded Republican primary
field at an announcement set for Ohio State University, according to senior advisers.

“The best way to to reform the Supreme Court is to ensure we don’t elect Liberals, and make sure we have a President and Senate which will nominate Conservative Justices.”

Like “conservative” John Roberts, for example.

Kasich was one of the first Republican governors to jump on the extra Medicaid funding from the FED under Obamacare.

==

From the tone of some recent threads, Kasich did not seem to have much luck convincing the big-money people that he had much of a chance.

Money, or the lack thereof, will cause half of the 18 or so Republican wannabes to drop out probably right after the Super March primaries. Of course, there are a few ‘professional’ presidential runners who can shoe-string until a nominee is determined by the primaries.

I hear ya. I share those sentiments. After last week’s demoralizing decisions, what is there to look forward to for 2016? We all know the GOP candidates will dance around the edges of these 2 very important issues to our republic but will not set a clear path forward to return this country to adhere to the constitution.

I carpool with a guy who still thinks it matters who he votes for. He'll vote for anybody with an 'R' after his name because "he'll be better than Hillary". I told him I think it's cute that he still thinks it matters which RINO is elected.

I hope you have your flame-proof suit on. Nowhere in there did you mention Cruz. :)

I want to win too. I think this wonderful Republic we call the United States of America would be so much better off if we had Romney for President but there are many here who would rather have Obama - that in no way no how would they vote for Romney. Well, they won and we have Obama completely destroying every vestige of what America stands for. It’s sickening. Better a partial win than a total loss. Shoot, I think Hillary would be better than Obama. Yech, as much as it hurts me to say that.

“The best way to to reform the Supreme Court is to ensure we don’t elect Liberals, and make sure we have a President and Senate which will nominate Conservative Justices.” AND who understands that the fight isn’t over just because SCOTUS makes a bad decision.

I makes a difference because, there is every indication that the next president will be stuck with a liberal court...maybe even more liberal than today. A SCOTUS decision does NOT mean there aren’t other avenues that can be taken to correct the bad decision. We need a president that understands that...not a quitter.

Actually, this is a good thing. This will split the Jeb Bush vote. Same with Christy, Graham, Fiorini, Rubio, Paul, Trump, etc.

The only 2 conservatives so far are Cruz and Walker. I have my issues with both now, but who would take conservative votes....Huckabee hurts with religious conservatives. Santorum, the same. Perry???

Operation Primary Train Wreck (so we can hand the nomination to Jeb in a formerly smoke filled backroom) proceeding right on schedule.
