Cue the backlash!
Following this morning's history-making Supreme Court Decision on marriage equality, Vikings cornerback Josh Robinson took to Twitter to condemn gay marriage in a series of homophobic tweets. He event compared marriage equality to incest and pedophilia.
"Love is love? So what will we say when the 30yr old loves YOUR 10 year old. When the dad loves HIS 6 year old? It's different? Yea okay!" the 24-year-old football star wrote Friday. "The day one person makes that stand, some may support, but many will say that's sick! That day I will say ‘hypocrites.'"
"When did we start defining a word by using that word? Smh. If you really want to know. Love is… 1Cor 13:1-13," added citing Bible verses.

Robinson continued on his rant with, "In the end EVERYONE has a right to believe what they want to believe. You shared yours, I shares mine. #BelieveiT," followed by, "‘As a Christian I love EVERYONE and I will always share my beliefs we may not agree and that's ok. God is love, 1John 4:8.'"
Shortly after, former Vikings punter Chris Kluwe poked fun at Robinson and responded to his tweets with, "Predicting ‘my account was hacked' in three... two... one..."
Robinson also made his Twitter profile private after his controversial postings.
Well Josh, enjoy the rest of your career in Canada.
Will sports teams ow have rainbow uniform days a la military/digital camo days.
Right now Tebow is fighting for a job in the NFL. It is probably wise for him to keep his mouth shut and take extra practice reps on the field.
I hear you that’s why I brought up his name.
I don’t think he is the kind of person to jump into the fray & voice a public opinion for fear of losing his job. Look what what he went thru before. But at some point, I’m trusting he will do the right thing. No one on msm has interviewed him either.
I can’t remember the exact passage(s) but somewhere in the New Testament Christ tells humanity if they believe in him they will eventually have to testify to their faith.
There are many passages in the bible referring to this and some people in this century believe this is a sign of a collective demise-in other words, “stand up and be counted” for the Lord.
Take a look back at the christians when they were thrown to the lions in the Coliseum- there’s a good example, even
genocidal acts thru-out history-the Holocaust and the jewish people- and up ‘til today where orthodox christians of multiple denominations , the yazidis, and even those in the Armenian genocide back in the day where they were crucified .

How long before EVERY job application or annual performance review contains a question about your faith. Southern Baptist? Sorry, you’re fired. How many will stay quiet or stop going to church in order to keep a job?
this isn't 'homophobic', its prophetic
of course, they are attacking him. because in America, if you don't agree with someone, you're supposed to ridicule them, attack them at home, harass their employers, and demand they get fired.
'personal ruin' is the money quote from the bench these days if you're not on board with the homo agenda (ask the florists in WA)
Off to the re-education camps for him!
end? It is just the begginning.
The evil left will use their allies -- gays, muslim, brainwashed youth, etc to continue to their ultimate goal -- the extermination of Christians.
You are wrong, we have become like Jews in Germany led off to slaughter like a boiled frog.
We’ll see.
no. because the homo left will never shut up until you’ve either endorsed their perversion or they’ve driven you out of your line of work
there is the smart thing and the right thing.
unfortunately today, doing the smart thing leads to the destruction of the country. doing the right thing leads to personal ruin... which then leads to the destruction of the country, as you can no longer oppose (in a nonviolent way, since you’re busy trying to feed your family)
We’ll see.
If we suddenly started seeing a lot of Robinson jerseys being worn, people would start complaining that this is the equivalent to wearing a confederate flag shirt and would call upon the NFL to ban the sale of Robinson jerseys since they would be deemed 'offensive'.
That is a real concern. Already, my firm rejects candidates if they don't pass the social media test. For example, if you posted pictures on Facebook of yourself at a frat party using a beer bong John Belushi style, chances are, you will not get hired. Or even posting something controversial.
I will likely retire from the job I have presently but I am fully aware that should I seek employment elsewhere, and my Free Republic handle is matched to my real identity, no company will hire me due to my conservative beliefs.
It's a real concern and it's going to get worse.
I wonder how long it will take the NFL to fire Josh for speaking the TRUTH..and what he says is true, the majority of gay men in this country were molested as children, grow up to molest other boys that is why they want to adopt ONLY boys
He’s right. I was just thinking the same thing. Not long ago in the mainstream it was commonly thought that gays are sick and twisted. The only reason we didn’t go after them more aggressively is they did this butt bumping with other adult males.
Pedophilia is rampant is some parts of the world as sick and twisted as it is. It’s just a matter of time when it becomes the new “legal” norm in America along with marrying dogs, cats, sheep, and of course goats for the muzzies.
All part of the disintegration of western/Christian culture.
Sodom and Gomorrah / Roman Empire. History repeating itself.
I think you’re wrong, D-1. Wish you weren’t, but I think every horse has left the barn on this one. I can’t see how in the hell we can ever take away a “right” granted by SCOTUS, let alone invalidate all homosexual marriages.
Yes, it would be wrong to state that in some ways they didn’t win very big.
I’m just saying that there is going to be push-back.
Some folks aren’t going to like what comes next.
You can push Joe Middle America only so far, and on this one I’m thinking there may be a lot of folks out there who have had enough.
I’ll be content to sit back and watch.
I may not like some of the negative things that happen, but I think they are going to happen.
It’s more for men being wimpy and effeminate. If a guy is a tough guy and bisexual, there’s not so much stigma.
It’s currently against the law to ask someone about their religion, either in the job application or interview. I also will say that there’s no need to mention it to the interviewer. It’s part of what no discrimination policy is about.
