Does today's ruling by SCOTUS constitute legitimate reasons to fly the flag upside down?
I think the 4th of July is now primarily a day of nostalgia.
I wonder if it is time to stop saying the pledge of allegiance - I can’t bring myself to say the words, “and to the Republic, for which it stands.” There is no republic.
lol Don’t forget the ladies. (minus the spitting part)
” Flying the flag upside down is disrespectful and an insult to your country.”
OK FH,
Is there a time that is appropriate to fly the Am flag upside down? If so, when?
Has anyone here read DU or dailykos or Talking Points Memo today? They are REALLY gloating - all three SCOTUS decisions, the Confederate flag removals, and Obama’s surprising political strength. This is just the start of really sticking it to conservatives they think.
Given the ineptitude of the GOPe, they are probably right.
More the merrier
Urge everyone else to do that too.
The phrase connotes after a long continuance of unjust abuses of power by a government have been patiently suffered and all means of redress by earthly authority are ineffectual and exhausted, a People are left no alternative than to appeal to a morally just Supreme Judge for final adjudication and hopeful vindication of their cause through forcible resistance to achieve redress either through the acquiescence, alteration, or abolishment of the offending government. The People's appeal is based upon the rectitude of their intentions (approving consciences), moral character capable of self-government, and justness of cause.Seems appropriate.
I flew mine upside-down on the largest flagpole around (put up after 9/11), the day Deathcare was rammed down our throats. Now, I don’t fly it any more. For some time, we’ve been a Communist country.
Ok...
Pardon my rant in advance.
What possible good comes from flying the flag upside down, instead of getting out into the streets PROTESTING this nonsense?
As long as there is no real pushback, the left will continue to push, push, push until all that is left is a perverted, Communist State formerly called “America”
I have had US flag stickers upside down on my vehicles for many uears
To fly the flag upside-down is not disrespectful when done as a signal requesting assistance from true physical danger.
A political snit does not equate to actual physical peril, and I am amazed at how many so-called conservatives do not seem to be able to grasp this concept.
I logged on this afternoon to see the news.
I’m buying more seeds and PMs.
This ship is going down.
!!
Still worshipping the federal government.
Obama’s re-election was the impetus for me to retire Old Glory. I figured the government was under the occupation of a enemy foreign power and the US flag no longer represented my country.
I fly the Gadsten flag on holidays as I’m in rebellion.
This is hardly a “political snit.”
Many of us, including me, truly see this as the death of our nation.
The U.S. flag needs to be flown upside down to signal dire distress any time a demonicrat traitor is in the White House, or the SCOTUS is in session.
Being a Swamp Yankee, I’ve never payed much attention to the Confederate flag. Now I want one to display.
Who knew?
