Court upholds same sex marriage in 5-4 ruling. Majority is Kennedy, Breyer, Bader-Ginsburg, Kagan & Sotomayor. Scalia, Thomas, Alito & Roberts dissent.
The only surprise is that it wasn't 6-3.
The title should read “The Supreme Court creates gay marriage”. The sixth circuit was reversed. This was inevitable with Kennedy and 4 liberal activists there.
My favorite part of the decision was the dissent from Justice Roberts. Imagine the gonads it takes for Roberts to draft a sentence like this after the nonsense he imposed on us yesterday in King v Burwell:
“But this Court is not a legislature. Whether same-sex
marriage is a good idea should be of no concern to us.
Under the Constitution, judges have power to say what
the law is, not what it should be. The people who ratified
the Constitution authorized courts to exercise “neither
force nor will but merely judgment.” The Federalist No.
78, p. 465 (C. Rossiter ed. 1961) (A. Hamilton) (capitalization altered).
“You will not follow God’s law and what the Bible teaches. The Supreme Court rules over your thoughts and actions. We are smarter than God.”
Those people are toast. They should be afraid. Very afraid.

This cultural civil war will be bigger than Roe Vs Wade on abortion.
That is because:
* liberals are already looking at shutting down Christian counseling centers that don’t say sure, leave your wife for a man
* they are pushing to ban conversion therapy even for those who want it due to religious convictions and the aftermath of homosexual abuse
* they are looking at taking away the non-profit status of religious schools from preschool to college that don’t toe the line on same sex relationships
* venues and service providers are way more likely to lose out to refusing service they consider an abomination
Only surprise I see is Roberts didn’t contort to find a way to side with the libs.
Yep....America’s final turn from our Maker. May He show mercy to His believers.
Looks like the deviates won;both in the court & in society,but what did they win? God is still on the throne.

I actually look forward to God’s judgment. No nation is more deserving.
I used to worry about what would happen if Thomas, Scalia or Alito were to die with a lib president in office. Doesn’t really matter now. Their votes/opinions are irrelevant in the current makeup of the SCOTUS. Might as well have 9 Kagans and Sotomayors.
The limitation is “good behavior”.
These individuals have in this and the PPACA rulings exceeded their authority.

Coming next: affirmative action for gays and removal of tax exempt status for churches whose preachers preach the bible, which opposes sodomy. Sodomy, of course, is a health hazard.
The government should never [in hindsight] have been in charge of “marriage” per se.
They are in charge of “civil unions” for the purpose of establishing the legalities involved. But marriage ... as a sacrament is a religious entity which the government should stear clear of.
The homos will never.. ever reach the spiritual level of holy matrimony blessed by God. This development today is nothing more than government-sanctioned “playing house.”
