The title should read “The Supreme Court creates gay marriage”. The sixth circuit was reversed. This was inevitable with Kennedy and 4 liberal activists there.
My favorite part of the decision was the dissent from Justice Roberts. Imagine the gonads it takes for Roberts to draft a sentence like this after the nonsense he imposed on us yesterday in King v Burwell:
“But this Court is not a legislature. Whether same-sex
marriage is a good idea should be of no concern to us.
Under the Constitution, judges have power to say what
the law is, not what it should be. The people who ratified
the Constitution authorized courts to exercise neither
force nor will but merely judgment. The Federalist No.

Looks to me as if one of his law clerks wrote the Marriage dissent, whereas a completely different clerk wrote the SCOTUScare decision.
