Ted Cruz live on FNC
*Deep curtsy*
;)
He said everyone in his network is for Cruz. Theres not even a question.
I was very glad to read your post. My son would have been so proud to serve under a President Cruz. I’ve heard Cruz say that he regrets not having served in the military. For sure he is very supportive of all our men and women in service. Many thanks to your brother for his service to our Country.
If only those with a CIB could be polled I can tell you we had men from all over this country in MACVSOG. ( NOT THE SOUTHERN RED NECKS THAT ARE STEREOTYPED BY THE LIBS AND HOLLYWOOD). The LIBS have painted a huge lie about the combat infantryman being disproportionately a southern boy. That is pure BS. I can tell you that out of five SF NCO’s in all, assigned to the company I was fortunate to command, only one was from the south. He was from a small town in NC. He was damn good. The other NCO’s were scattered from NJ, NE, WA and CA. The first officer I got after 4 months was from MN. The last one,I am embarrassed to say I do not know where he was from. Both 1LT’s are dead. Frankly, the NCO’s from Recon company to our Hatchet Forces were from all over. We had a damn equal distribution of this entire country. We had two damn fine black SFC’s in Recon plus many others from all over. We had very few Hispanics, but; the unit was SF and required a GT of 110 or higher. We had no dumb folks.
That is the only answer. I recall when I first worked for Mutual of Omaha. A 5’ 2 or 3” woman who weighed 224 tried to get insurance. We could issue the policy at a 50% increase in premium if she just got down to 203 lbs. She never tried. All these tubs of lard walking around are driving premiums through the damn roof. And Obama keeps feeding them from the public trough. Sorry, but; it is true. Weight kills, too. Look back to the 60’s and tell me if you recall all these double wide asses.
Cruz is once again full of BS. What kept him from serving? Hell, he would have received a commission in JAG. Again Cruz is all mouth.
Sorry partner
You can google the stats
And you believe that crap?
You need to look up myths about Vietnam as I do doubt you were there. The war was not fought by poor little southern boys without equal help from every state. If a young man was not in college or was out a semester for discipline in the 60’s, his fanny would be drafted. However draftees were not the big source in Vietnam either. There are many myths about Vietnam. I suggest you look them up. Things like fragging were almost unheard of. The left and pals have spread a lot of crap. There are some on this board who were 11 B- F’s . They can tell you about their unit. The marines who were in rifle companies can tell you their experience also. I saw no geographic differences in the Infantry. Men were from every state. I saw a huge change in the Army in 73-74 namely druggies and idiots like Colin Powell.
The weight is definitely a huge problem. But it’s not just the weight. It’s also the legions of people drinking and drugging themselves to death. Add in the people who run to take a prescription pill whenever they feel sad and that covers a large percentage of the medical costs in this country. Don’t get me started on the people who are bored and have nothing to do (mostly unemployed, but some with boring jobs who like drama) so they call the doctor with any vague or fake symptom they can come up with.
“Thanks for posting the video!”
Hay, thanks for the post and the heads up.
He had scholarships. He has been very active on behalf of the military. He tried and won a case for vets before the Supreme Court, pro bono. If not for his efforts, the Ft. Hood victims would still not have their Purple Hearts and benefits.
There are more ways to serve than just in the military. I say this as a mom who lost a son serving in the Marines. Cruz’s winning of Heller was a huge Supreme Court case protecting our 2nd Amendment rights. My son would have been very proud to serve with President Cruz as Commander in Chief.
1. The Purple Heart at FT Hood is a damn insult to me and every combat VET who was wounded in war. 2.We did not give a PH to 9/11 types even those NG or reserve types who were in the towers on 9/11. 3 You lost a son, and; I was glad to finally be able to tell two women about where their sons really died and why IMHO they were not just MIA but KIA. Those ladies deserved the truth. Yes, the TS agreements I signed in 68 governed what I said and did until declassified. Cruz is not CIC material. What do you want another social experiment in the WH? Cruz checked Hispanic and as smart as you think he is I will bet he did not gain regular acceptance to Harvard. He had a damn Pell Grant.
You honestly think that someone who graduated cum laude from Princeton didn’t get into Harvard Law School, the “regular way”? He graduated from Harvard Law Magna cum Laude and was, according to Prof. Alan Dershowitz, the brightest student he ever had.
I thoroughly disagree with you about the Ft. Hood victims. They were sitting ducks to the attack of an Islamic terrorist while in the line of duty.
Your unexplainable hatred of Ted Cruz is making it impossible for you to be fair to him. It’s a shame.
His looks and voice didn’t seem to hold him back any from multiple victories at the Supreme Court. I think he is rather handsome. Cruz looks like a man, whereas Rubio looks like a little boy.
Had you “Earned a Purple Heart in Combat” which was the worse day of my life BTW, you might understand why I think the FT Hood decision is a very bad precedent. Next we will have a GI or sailor get shot coming out of a house of ill repute by a Muslim and he/she gets a real combat award. That may sound like a stretch to you, but; the progressives will start with the damn flag of the confederates and next they will demand FT Lee, Ft Bragg, and Ft Benning, GA and every place named after a CONFED be changed. The military has had plenty of men injured and even killed in training plus a few killed other ways. “You obviously HAVE never been wounded in action.”
They were on base and cut down like slaughtered sheep at Ft. Hood. I have had 3 brothers and a dad who served as well as my son who died in Iraq. Two of my brothers are disabled vets, as is my son in law. I don’t need a lecture from you on the horrors of war. You just have an irrational hatred of Ted Cruz. I think you are intimidated by his intellect and his firm faith. Your problem, not his.
I agree fully with your opinion of government run healthcare.
However, I think it was a perfectly good question, primarily because I have wondered the same thing.
Now that SCOTUS has ruled, think about what would happen had the ruling been different and no provision made to somehow temporarily take care of those who would lose coverage until a viable alternative was ready. Think of all the pitiful whiny (and legitimate) sad stories, all of which would be blamed on those who opposed Obamacare.
It is entirely possible that the outcome of next year’s election would depend on who promised the most, and we’d be right back in the same predicament.
It’s foolish for any candidate this year to not have a solid plan and answer for how to repeal, replace, and bridge the gap. Cruz obviously doesn’t. I don’t know about the others.
I have no idea who I will eventually support.
