He had scholarships. He has been very active on behalf of the military. He tried and won a case for vets before the Supreme Court, pro bono. If not for his efforts, the Ft. Hood victims would still not have their Purple Hearts and benefits.
There are more ways to serve than just in the military. I say this as a mom who lost a son serving in the Marines. Cruz’s winning of Heller was a huge Supreme Court case protecting our 2nd Amendment rights. My son would have been very proud to serve with President Cruz as Commander in Chief.
1. The Purple Heart at FT Hood is a damn insult to me and every combat VET who was wounded in war. 2.We did not give a PH to 9/11 types even those NG or reserve types who were in the towers on 9/11. 3 You lost a son, and; I was glad to finally be able to tell two women about where their sons really died and why IMHO they were not just MIA but KIA. Those ladies deserved the truth. Yes, the TS agreements I signed in 68 governed what I said and did until declassified. Cruz is not CIC material. What do you want another social experiment in the WH? Cruz checked Hispanic and as smart as you think he is I will bet he did not gain regular acceptance to Harvard. He had a damn Pell Grant.
