I’ll put my anti Rove cred up against anyone on FR, or anywhere else for that matter - and I don’t trust the SOB on any issue or any strategy - but that doesn’t excuse this headline.
There’s enough legit stuff to go after Karl Rove on....we don’t have to embellish just as an excuse to rant.

Such attempts or efforts by people to repeal the Second Amendment should be regarded and dealt with as giving aid and comfort to the enemy.
What he actually said is more than enough to go after him on. But yes, the headline could certainly have been better.
Anyone that even considers removing the rights of an American, which is what stating removing guns from society as an option is, deserves a urinal target alongside Jane.

Well as you know, I relish going after him - so I don’t mind it, but I am offended by intellectual dishonesty, and I think the DC was being a little of that in this case. But no, I don’t mind people giving Rove a lot of grief at any time.

Rove was merely stating the truth - one would have to do away with the second amendment - he didn’t say he was for doing that. I could make the same statement as it is the truth but that wouldn’t mean I was for doing that.
So, I also say this truth, “The only way to get rid of gun violence is to repeal the second amendment.”

Rove said the only way to stop these acts was to remove guns from society and that would require repealing the 2nd Amendment. Rove did not say that guns should be removed from society. Nor did he say the 2nd Amendment should be repealed.

It cannot be done because the first 10 amendments to the USA Constitution are the BILL OF RIGHTS.
