• Charleston church shooting suspect Dylann Roof has been taken into custody in North Carolina, a senior law enforcement official briefed on the investigation told CNN's Deborah Feyerick.
• Roof, 21, of Lexington, South Carolina, is the suspect in Wednesday's deadly shooting at the Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, city police said Thursday.
• Witnesses say the suspect stood up and said he was there "to shoot black people," a law enforcement official said. The shooter is also thought to have used a handgun, according to the official.

Wish it could be done swiftly. Some bleeding heart attorney will plead him not guilty by reason of insanity and a trial will go on forever like that Holmes trial in Denver.
If this is the kid that did it, I hope they put him down. Black on white or white on black, this crap should not be tolerated and these animals that commit these crimes should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

I carry in church. Almost all my shooting club buddies and fellow hunters carry in church. A gun around here is just another accessory.
I don’t carry when I go to church out of fear. I simply slide my .380 in my pocket because it is always there on my dresser with my keys and my billfold and gum and dip. I pick it up out of habit and put each thing in each pocket like I have done for years.
Hope SC has the death penalty.
