Donald Trump only got 8 words into his campaign before we found a seriously questionable fact
Yahoo! Finance ^ | June 16, 2015 | Hunter Walker

You may not believe this, but Donald Trump may have started his run as president with highly dubious claim.

After bounding on stage at his headquarters, Trump Tower, the bombastic billionaire looked up at the crowd that surrounded him in awe.

“Whoa,” Trump said. “That is some group of people. Thousands. There’s been no crowd like this.”

However, we were there, and it seemed like there were no more than a few hundred supporters lined up to watch Trump speak.

Trump spokeswoman Hope Hicks told Business Insider the campaign did not have an "official tally." However, she said it would be "wildly inaccurate" to say less than 1,000 people were in attendance. She said the campaign was "expecting over 1,000." In addition to the people in the audience area, Hicks claimed there were people watching in bars and restaurants within Trump Tower as well as passers by who viewed the event on televisions set up outside.

"There were a lot of people probably that you couldn't see," Hicks said.

It does not surprise me one bit. Trump is nothing but a big talker, just like the current occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

Just listen you can hear that the place is practically empty except for a small crowd

Video

I watched Jeb Bush's announcement yesterday and the place was packed.

Not really. Unlike politicians who mostly just talk, Trump has actually done stuff in the real world.

I didn’t listen to the whole video, but I did recently view one of his speeches. It was well worth the listen.

As for how many people were in attendance, I don’t know. I wasn’t there. I haven’t seen any pictures of the crowd.

What I do know is that in my house Bush is DOA politically. Up until recently I would have said the same thing about Trump, in fact have here.

After listening to his prior speech, I’m going to have to give the guy some thought.

He’s the only one I know of that sees our current trade insanity for what it is. He’s the only one who gets the border issues with Mexico exactly right.

He’s the only one who sees our current immigration problems for what they are, other nations dumping their worst off on us.

Folks, we’re in a world of hurt in the U. S.

All bets are off. If the other candidates can’t pull their heads out of their asses on these issues, I may just vote for Trump.

He certainly couldn’t be any worse than some of them.

Jeb Bush in particular!

There WEREN’T 75,000 people at Trump’s announcement?

Don’t think The Donald would try to put one over, do you?

Or did he? May have been a closed-circuit simultaneous broadcast, you know.

This is going to be fun. The more the DC crowd and the media do to diminish Trump's campaign, the more popular he's going to be.

They do not have a clue how fed up most of the US population is.

Yeah right. Than tell me why is the crowd not seen, and you can certainly hear that there are not many people there. I did not watch the spectacle because I had to run some errands and wasn’t home. I did see a link that showed it being broadcast over CSPAN but it was the exact same video as in Fox News

When I look at who else is out there and what they are backing, it’s them I’m rejecting more than him I’m falling for.

He may not act on these things. At least he sees them for what they are.

The others can’t even say that.

Am I all fired up for the guy? No. I’m just looking at things as they exist.

I favor Cruz, but I’m also having to turn a blind eye to do it. I’m so sick of that ——!

Donald has his sights set on destroying Jeb.... and Rubio. Dana Perino has taken it personally.... she’s going nuts. And, Cruz stands to benefit the most from Donald.

Yep, and those suckers gave us Dole, Bush, McCain, and Romney.

How did that work out for us?

We’re headed into this campaign season like all those others, and we’re going to come up with the same results.

Trump may not follow through on some of what he’s talking about, but at least he’s talking about it specifically in public.

Can’t say that for any of the others.

I'm having a poopy pants snit against Cruz and Walker right now, but will still probably vote for either. I'd also pull the lever for Trump over Fag! or Fat! - I mean Jeb! or Christie!

Oh, who am I kidding? I will not pull the lever for the Fag! or Fat! no matter what.

That’s how he figures his net worth, too. Counts how many dollars he has and then adds a zero or two.

I’m pretty much disgusted with all of them.

Just when you think your guy is solid, he goes out and supports a feeder bill to something we all oppose.

I’d don’t ask for perfection, but good grief, how about someone that at least exists in that neighborhood.
