June 15, 2015 In declaring his campaign for president, Jeb Bush opens a maverick White House bid that could reshape Republican politics for a generation and make him the third member of his family to occupy the Oval Office in three decades.
Or, his candidacy could crater after colliding with the party's most conservative elements and become a cautionary tale for future candidatesdynastic or notwho'd dare to buck the GOP grassroots.
"I will campaign as I would serve, going everywhere, speaking to everyone, keeping my word, facing the issues without flinching, and staying true to what I believe," Bush is expected to say Monday afternoon, according to excerpts released by his campaign ahead of his speech at Miami-Dade College in Florida. "I will take nothing and no one for granted. I will run with heart. I will run to win."

Adios! Via con Dios!
So mote it be!
I find him arrogant and obnoxious. I would like to like him a little. He makes it hard. His positions and wimpy wording on some issues makes him no option for me. But I would like to like him a little. I am finding that hard.
Jeb looks like a well-groomed lesbian.
Key part there is “buck the grassroots.” Why do you want to “buck the grassroots??”
That was one of the most amazing things that I have ever heard a serious candidate say against his own party base, but to say that about the Evangelicals and conservatives, is hopefully a fatal political mistake.
At the point he declared illegal border crossings an "act of love," he became an enemy to the USA. He should run on the Rat ticket.
guiliani tried this, didn’t he? He did not get nominated.
Well, lincoln chaffee dismissed the base too now he’s a registered democrat
How very McCainish. Never mind that he's the chosen guy of the whole GOP-e. Maverick in mediaspeak is a Republican who supports the Democrat agenda.
Fed up with the Bushs.....just go away and trot off with the Clintons.....these two are the last thing this country needs.
Jeb Bush opens a maverick White House bid
Oh boy, another “maverick.” Looks like the GOPe wants to lose another Presidential race.
If they try to shove jeb bush at me, i’ll vote for the atheist, first.
Good luck with that stratgery, Jeb!. My plan is to stay out of da Bushes.
He loses the primary they will force him on as VP like they did to Regan.
I thought personal attacks was a forte of the leftists liberals. They always called Bush-43 Chimpy.
I will be working for Jeb Bush to lose the primaries. Should he win nomination, I will work on making Hillary lose in the general, which would have to include voting for Bush.
I have never opted for the bigger evil in my entire life. And do not intend to start now.
