Truly a beautiful country.
Where would I have to go to see William Wallace's head? :-)

My Mother’s family came from the Island of Colonsay. Surprisingly beautiful from the pictures I have seen. It is the home of Clan Mcphee which I don’t understand. Her name was McDuffie and Clan McPhee admits that McDuffie was the original name so why not use McDuffie?

Why in the world did my family leave such a beautiful country?

I usually don’t click on anything from Buzzfeed, but this was awesome.
Planning for my next trip over there.

Interesting. I was just listening to Mendelsohn’s “Hebrides Overture,” which he wrote after being inspired by the scenery.

Wonderful pictures. I'm ready to go explore. A possible companion web site might be
Scottish Geology . Modern geology was born in Scottland thanks to a combination of inquisitive Scots and a marvelous wealth of exposed rock faces lendin themselves to study.

Moon Beach Okinawa, at least as it was in 1970. I căn't find any pictures of it, though. What I find that is called Moon Beach is just a generic flat beach with no features.I remember Moon Beach as black volcanic sand in a semicircle cove with black cliffs around. It was beautiful and eerie.

beautiful pictures but overall it left me with the thought, what a cold lonely place, no warmth. But then maybe if I had a shot of Scotch, it would seem warmer, LOL

Amazing Pictures!
I watched the video of a bicyclist riding the ridge of Skye that was linked in one of the photos. Some people have no fear.

Fans of Scotland might want to check out the
Outlander TV Series on Startz.
It's set in the Highlands and explores the Jacobite rebellion in the 1740's. However, it's violent and the interaction between the two leads sometimes gets quite steamy.
