Phoenix (AFP) - Anti-Islam protesters -- some of them heavily armed -- faced off against religious rights demonstrators outside a US mosque, in a tense but peaceful standoff.
About 200 demonstrators from each group stood outside the mosque in Phoenix, Arizona, where a biker crew had said they would hold a Mohammed cartoon contest.
Dozens of officers lined up between the two sets of protesters, using yellow police tape to separate them near the gates of the Islamic Community Center mosque in north Phoenix.
"Stop Islam" was among the slogans on placards held by bearded bikers, one of whom wore a T-shirt reading "Support Your Local White Boy" and had a shouting match with rival demonstrators across the police lines.
Several anti-Islam protesters were heavily armed -- some with AR-15 assault rifles -- and wore military fatigues. Arizona has some of the laxest gun laws in the United States.
But after several hours of tension, the standoff eased -- though officers kept the two groups apart.

I hate the fact that we have this happening but everything I have seen and read about Islam tells me you have to be confrontational with this religion because it is religious Nazism. we cant let it get a foothold in the united states because eventually it will try and dictate to what ever country it exists in the treatment of all people that is not Islamic. I am a religious bigot and I don’t care. religion is a belief system and I believe that its all right to not like a group of people over there belief system if they espouse that belief.

The disgusting yellow striped cowardice of our media was on full display at that rally last night. At no time did ABC/CBS/NBC/FOX/CNN ever mention this important detail ...both of the dead jihadis from the Garland, Texas "draw Mohammed contest" were from that same Phoenix Mosque. That mosque, "Islamic community center of Phoenix" now has no less than FOUR terrorists linked to it!
Nor did the media mention why Pamela Geller featured her contest in that Garland Texas venue... the very same venue which hosted the infamous jihad instigator Siraj Wahhaj on Jan. 17th. (Ten days after the Charlie Hebdo massacre).
Did the Phoenix Protest Marine/biker say "blood will spill?"
NO...but as noted below, Muslims did threaten it.
Breitbart News previously reported that former Marine Jon Ritzheimer and fellow bikers will be holding a “Draw Muhammad” contest Friday night at 6 p.m. Islamists now warn participants not to bring their children with them if they love them, promising blood spill if Muhammad is drawn.
According to Gateway Pundit,“Islamists have promised to murder the attendees [at the contest] tonight in Phoenix.”
GP shows screenshots of various tweets from @DAWLATNAH–some with an ISIS flag avatar and others with an Islamic cleric avatar.
One tweet, sent May 28 at 10:14 pm from an account that has since been suspended, says,
“WARNING IF U LOVE UR CHILDREN DONT BRING THEM IN THE EVENT TODAY THE WILL SPLIT OF BLOOD IN THE EVENT OF MUHAMMAD SAW DRAWINGS.”Another tweet that was sent on May 28 from an acount that has also been suspended says,
“WHO EVER LOVE HER OR HIS CHILD DONT TAKE THEM IN THE EVENT WE PROMISE U WE WILL DRINK UR BLOOD.”A separate Twitter account named Shariah Will Rule tweeted,
“If an attack happens at that contest and loads of people die you brought upon yourselves, I won’t care in the slightest.” And from that same account: “You stupid kuffar clearly did not take from the Charlie Hebdo attacks. You guys are truly deaf, dumb & blind.”Rally organizer Jon Ritzheimer’s home address has been published and his family threatened.

I invite whoever wrote that article to come over to my house. I'll show him or her a really lax gun law, one that I wrote and passed myself in full compliance with the 2nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
