Maybe I’m in the minority here, but I don’t have a huge problem with what the BSA is doing here. It’s a private organization that is openly stating its intent to put its own members at risk, so nobody with a sense of decency who keeps their kids in the Boy Scouts has any reason to complain if something bad happens down the road.
There is only ONE reason to promote homosexual leadership in the Scouting ranks and that is to “scout” out recruits and MOLEST our sons.

A local scout leader came to our church to see if any of our young men would want to join their troop. Our leadership team visited with him.

If it feels good, do it. Or have it done to you. Or even do it unto the little children. Tommy wants to become Tomasina before heading to kindergarten? Her brave new mommy agrees? A government-provided surgeon will perform the “gender reassignment” operation. And if kindergarten isn’t soon enough to put the kids on the unrepressed road to gender identification, then start them on Heather Has Two Mommies and Prince and Prince cartoon books in the government-subsidized day care centers.
Smiling experts assured us that we were merely throwing off the shackles of our repressed sexualities. Dissent is hate, and hate is not tolerated around here, mister, so shut up and get with the program. Well, I couldn’t get with the program, so I quit my public high school job. As a world history teacher, moving from a public school to a Christian academy (at less pay and fewer benefits) gave me a couple more years of insulation from the social wreckage cascading down.
I kept looking up for the big asteroid, but we didn’t need God to smite us from outer space. In the end, we smote ourselves with our hubris, believing that we were replacing God’s wisdom with our own. The proud decadence and in-your-face cultural perversions didn’t cause the Rupture, but they were surely flashing red signs warning that the end was near.

It's actually worse than that. It doesn't matter what the perps identify as; if a man molests a boy, it is by definition a homosexual act, and those are acts committed not by the three percent of the population considered homosexual, but by the two percent who are MALE.

Seriously, though, there is no "bright" side to this.
I know personally two cases where homosexual Scout leaders devastated some of the young boys in their Scout troops and caused untold personal long-term damage to them and their families by their sexual depredations.
In one case, it was in my small town in the 70s and the Methodist Minister was the Scoutmaster. It turned out he was preying on several of the boys in the troop. At least one boy never recovered from the behavior and the family finally had to move from town. The other boys were never "the same" again, either.
In the other, it was in the 90s in another State. The Scoutmaster was a "respected" member of our church and was doing the same thing with some of the boys. One of the boys was his own stepson whom he preyed on for years. It destroyed him psychologically and he became an active homosexual and still is. This stepson was like part of our family. We fully expected he and our youngest daughter to marry as they were best friends from early childhood and never dated anybody else. When he finally revealed the awful truth, it devastated not only him but our daughter. It has caused lasting damage to them both and the awful effects extend to others within our family and in his.
There is no "bright" side to any of this - just suffering, sadness, and evil. Anybody who would advocate this sort of evil become mainstreamed within any organization is complicit in the evil.
