Interesting. Didn't one of the Southern States recently make it illegal to use cash to buy used items within their State?

This is a worrisome issue.

Worrisome indeed. Just more State control of everyone and everything.

Doesn’t Denmark also have “negative” inflation? I’m not an economist, don’t understand it, but seems to be a precursor to financial implosion for the average person.

From the other thread about this topic:
“The main reason is that banks want to be charge negative rates (charge you money for keeping it in the bank). The reason they are having trouble is that one can move the cash out. Thus restrictions in cash withdrawals.. etc.

So it is all a matter of greed. Don’t fall for this BS.”

I have not seen or heard of that. If you find that it is true and have a link to that I would certainly appreciate it if you could ping me to it.

I have problems believing that I missed that. It would be a big, hairy deal.

I clicked the link. The author’s instincts are correct, however he failed to point out to his reader that the entire intent behind this is to be able to control each persons spending. When the economy needs to be “cooled down,” the government can just lock up your accounts and not allow access. When it needs to be “heated up,” then they can make you spend your money or just take it!

Eventually, they can just take it all and give the pleebs an allowance!

Just wait til they announce that they can safely and securely store your bank account info, next to your medical info, on a neat little implantable chip. It’s coming!

This is so that all transactions are recorded, and monitored.

(I don’t care. I use cash for coffee, bubble gum, and newspapers. Everything else is credit card or electronic.)

False headline, considering how much of everyone’s cash has been eliminated by Obama.

The second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name. This calls for wisdom. Let the person who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. That number is 666.

It must be ‘for the children’ or something, it’s that stupid. Or maybe it’s not stupid and it is to impose iron-clad Gummint Control over the population.

When there’s no cash, then everyone must have a bank account. If everyone has a bank account, then the government can always seize that account or block any transactions to that account. This is one of those “sounds convenient” ideas that could easily turn to tyranny in the hands of a despot.
