9 Confirmed Dead in Biker Gang Shooting at Twin Peaks (Waco, TX)
The Waco Tribune ^ | Sunday, May 17, 2015 | Olivia Messer

Posted on 05/17/2015 2:36:49 PM PDT by kristinn

***Officers said there were multiple types of weapons used, including guns, chains, knives, bats and clubs.***

***“There were maybe 30 guns being fired in the parking lot, maybe 100 rounds,” said Michelle Logan, 37, who was at Twin Peaks at the time of the shooting and said she knows some of the victims. “They just opened fire.”***

UPDATE, 4:00 p.m.(CDT): At least nine people are confirmed dead in a shooting around noon Sunday at Twin Peaks restaurant, said Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton. All of the fatalities are members of biker gangs. No patrons, servers or less enforcement officials were killed, Swanton said.

There is a very significant increase in law enforcement in McLennan County right now, Swanton said. Local, county, state and federal agencies are involved in investigations.

DPS and intelligence agents were working on the investigation long before today and Waco police have been aware of the inquest for more than a month, said Swanton.

Twin Peaks and Don Carlos were closed down after the shooting, and witnesses are being questioned on the scene and at the police department, according to the sergeant.

“The management wanted them here,” Swanton said of Twin Peaks officials. “Management knew that there were issues, and we were here, but they continued to let those groups of people into their business.”

There were at least three rival gangs on the scene when the shooting occurred, Swanton said.

At least 12 Waco officers, including a SWAT team, and other DPS troopers were at Twin Peaks or in the immediate area when the incident broke out.

Waco police officers moved in and did fire rounds during the incident, Swanton said, praising their quick response.

Well sir, the DP is for Death Penalty. As much as I enjoy Dairy Queen, Texas' no-nonsense enforcement of the death penalty beats a Blizzard any day! :)

To me, a ‘biker’ is a 1%er. Someone who is a part of the 99% and belongs to a MC is an MC member. If the 1%ers want to kill each other, I say more power to them, just don’t hurt any innocents. For almost 10 years, a ‘biker war’ existed between the HA Montreal chapter and the ‘Rock Machine’ MC which was controlled by the Montreal mafia. Over 150 died, including a number of innocents, including an 11YO boy. ‘Mom’ Boucher, head of the Montreal HA, is serving time at the SHU (equivalent to your ADX), rather than swinging at the end of a hungman’s noose.

I am acquainted with a couple of folks who belong to the ‘Calgary Chinook Riders MC’ and the ‘Apostles Motorcycle Society’, both Christian MC organisations. In fact, the former MC sponsors a show and shine called ‘Rides & Rods’ on the last Sunday in July, outside of Centre Street Church, in an effort to reach those who are unreachable by a church. Good on them!

As someone posted on a local news site,

Those who are illegals will get treated at the ER, the white citizen bikers will be turned away.

Not exactly true, but somewhat humorous.

They do need to double up on those dispatched to the ultimate justice and fix the endless appeals process. Texas justice without delay!

All the dead were bikers and no one else injured. Sounds like a win-win! Can they repeat that feat? Let’s hope so. Maybe next time they can invite some islamists to add to the flavour of the festivities.

There's bikers, then there's bikers. Some are holdovers from the Hell's Angels and some are more patriotic salt-of-the-earth types. These were obviously the former and I say good riddance to them and those like them.

From FB comments.

Got a message from a friend in waco..he says that this was instigated by undercover LEO..and that the cops were already on scene at the mall before the fight broke out..hmmmm?

Sounded like the cops were trying to force the place to stop having bike nights.

If you actually read the story it sounds like the cops, not the bikers, were very likely the ones who did the killing... bad day either way.

The latest number appears to be 170 arrested. If you’re going to be visiting biker bars, you may need to get something that’s belt fed.

Twin Peaks Waco has been closed for failing to heed warnings that more security was needed. Read that the Banditos were second in size behind Hells Angels, and had membership in 13 countries besides US. More info here and over 1,000 comments.

170 now..and they said that would be flexible as they processed them....

Intersting is the charges against these guys.....organized crime they’re going after them with...mafia style! In reality that’s pretty much what it was...one gang against the other..like the roaring 20’s gang wars only on bikes.

Bandidios major players in the marijuana, cocaine and methamphetamine markets.

The cops had been there for weeks watching this place...known to be trouble and gang related...they had issues before.

The Cossacks and the Scimitars were working in alliance against the Bandidos.....FBI report ...Bandidos one of the country’s four most dangerous outlaw gangs. Into drug trade heavily.

I read from various sources this so called ‘recruitment event’ was hosted by the restaurant, and the police had fears of a conflict,.... management refused to let officers in to monitor the situation before things got out of hand....The interior of the restaurant was littered with bullet casings, knives, a club, bodies and pools of blood...not unlike when the

Yep.

Twin Peaks has now pulled the franchise from this place. TP corporate had already warned him about having frequent ‘biker nights’.
