Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush believes he can convince conservative primary voters that illegal immigrants should be punishedby being granted a path to amnesty.
In an interview from Liberty University that aired Monday on Fox News, host Megyn Kelly told him, you know that theres a core wing of the party for whom this will be a deal breaker. Bush replied, I dont know that. Ive been traveling over the last three months. I get a sense that a lot of people can be persuaded, to be honest with you, he said.
Polls, though, have shown conservatives in early primary states will not vote for Bush because of his pro-amnesty views.

“Jeberish” - Hahaha! That’s great!
What Jeb said wasn’t much different than what ALL the GOP candidates have said, including Cruz. Only thing Cruz did was add that he’d increase legal immigration. I imagine Jeb would too though. He did speak of “economic immigration” and used Canada as an example.
I expect we’ll see him try to walk back/clarify his statement about revoking obama’s amnesty EM as part of a “comprehensive” package. Real brain fart there.
That cinches it. We need mandatory drug testing before candidates can declare for the GOP primary.
I can’t think of a single reason to vote for Jeb. Seriously. He doesn’t have a conservative bone in him.
The media will push Jeb’s candidacy. They know he’s easily beatable.
Their “compassionate conservatism” is a croc.
The Bush’s are NOT conservatives.
Keep on Diggin, Jebby.
how many death penalties did he sign? should they have been given a free pass?
go away little jebbie.......
If Jeb’s wife wants to live with Mexicans Jeb needs to move to Mexico. We all know Jeb indulges her - but bringing Mexico here for her is TOO MUCH.
How come the media has not jumped on this? Jeb is an idiot if he thinks he will be elected Pres with a wife who REFUSES to ASSIMILATE. Not a person I know will vote for him based on that alone.
Absolutely. This is on purpose. This is why we will never see a candidate like Cruz or Walker. This is also why this country appears to be “so evenly divided” - so that you can rig every major election by manipulating just a few counties in a couple swing states. Let’s not kid ourselves any longer... voting is meaningless and futile.
I don't have a problem with that if that's what she does at home. Best way to make your kids bilingual or to give your spouse a chance to really learn the language is to speak exclusively to them in one language. My wife tries to do that with our kids in Norwegian. (and yes Mrs D. speaks American English fluently without accent)
HOWEVER, if Ms. Bush refuses to speak English in public where it would be normal and correct to do so - that's another thing altogether.
I've just tried to find Youtube video of Columba Bush speaking. Found one Spanish-language interview. Nothing in English yet.
I've just tried to find Youtube video of Columba Bush speaking. Found one Spanish-language interview. Nothing in English yet.I doubt you'll find much, if anything, of Columba Bush speaking in public in English for any significant length of time. She has admitted several times it's very uncomfortable for her in that situation.
In an interview in 1998, there are these quote from Columba Bush:
At home Jeb and Columba converse in Spanish. "When I speak English to him, he doesn't understand me," she says, laughing.Perhaps her English has improved since then, but I wouldn't be surprised if it hasn't.The Bush children know Spanish but don't often use it, she says. "I speak Spanish to them and they answer me in English."
"This PROVES Jeb
Isn't a RINO
Because This Is
Nothing Like
When I Said
'Punished with a Baby.'
I still wish I'd thought of this, though."
Send illegals home. Allow those who waited in line IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY to come here instead.
